Overnight Stay We only stayed here one night on our way to Nova Scotia,so we didn't use the pool, but we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. We would stay here again if we were in the area. Parking is just across the street and was easy to access. Good selection of restaurants near by

Unacceptable Hilton This is a very tired and worn Hilton - one that damages the Hilton reputation and requires intervention. I’ve spent 1150+ nights in global Hilton properties over the past twenty years and this Hilton ranks in the bottom 5%. The staff are pleasant, the location is safe, but the property is well beyond an acceptable timeframe for renovation…stained carpets, dirty furniture, barely functioning AC unit, and sunken mattresses. This property truly does not seem to be trying. At $200+ per night, I will never stay here again and I recommend others to find alternatives.

Average at best There has to be somewhere better to stay in the city for this price. The AC did not cool well enough. Bathroom door was stuck. Place is pretty dated. Front desk staff didn’t have a word to say to us, rather unfriendly. Saint John you are a beautiful city!

Good location but that’s all Location location Location….but that’s it. Stayed here with another couple (2 rooms) to play tourist and visit the new boardwalk, do some bar hopping and nice dinner. We were able to walk to everywhere in city centre we wanted to visit and enjoyed the outside patios on the boardwalk. The hotel stay was a total failure! Old, outdated and smelly rooms. Air conditioner didn’t cool the room/rooms at all even set at 10c..I’m sure there was a governor on it. It was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. But the room smelt like damp socks. Rugs are thread bare in the hallways. The place needs an upgrade for the prices they charge. Our head board was vinyl had holes worn in it. We got a package price through the internet that included a buffet breakfast. Breakfast was nice. Nothing special. We had drinks in the lobby bar one evening and we think the liquor wasn’t top shelve…they had an off taste. Staff was very friendly and nice to talk with but we’ve decided that next time we’ll stay elsewhere.

Stay elsewhere It is overpriced for what you actually get. Seems a bit of a tourist trap because of its good location. Tired room with a bathroom door that didn’t close. Bed mattress was too soft/old/creaky. Front desk staff said next to nothing to us when we checked in. Truthfully, I agree with many of the poor reviews already written. Very underwhelming. I will return to Saint John, but I will not stay here.
