A Good Place to Stay with Access to much of Salem. I enjoy staying there. Staff are always helpful. I also like the fact that there are so many places to eat nearby. The room prices seem to be getting a bit high though lately. I look forward to seeing staff who have helped me over the years.

Horrifying experience! Was told at check in that the room was between smoking rooms, but was a non-smoking room. Room stunk like cigarette smoke, cigarette burns on blankets, floors, chair and curtains. Carpet was NOT clean. Carpet had massive stains and was sticky, didn't feel comfortable taking off my shoes. Garbage in the hallways, on the stair case and in the parking lot. BEWARE: office staff tried to get us to pay a $100 "incidental" deposit in cash, then got an attitude when we said the no cash, the deposit needed to be on our credit card - even though the hotel was paid for on a hotel app. We checked in just before midnight and checked out before 1:00 AM.

Front desk staff rude, dirty used soap found in shower! Apparently this hotel has had several issues of guests trashing a room "around this area," I was informed by the Management and therefore they now make a Housekeeper inspect your room daily, otherwise your key won't work! Found my room equipped with a previous guests used soap and a phone that did not work. No action taken to provide me with a room phone. I once again went. to the front desk to see if I could get a handset replacement. The lady at the desk rudely stated. "most of our guests have cell phones. Holes in black out drapes, and covid hotel rules violated.

Stay in Salem. The Super 8 by Wyndham at Salem is a clean, affordable perfect motel for me to stay at. I always stay there when I come into town. The location is perfect, not to far from downtown as well as the college. Check in was easy, and so was staying an extra night.
