Road Warrior Quality Inn, Admiral Byrd, Salt Lake. I have kept this a secret for so long. I'm sorry, Quality Inn. I have stayed with you over 20 times. I stay in hotels over 200 nights a year. I'm a Diamond member with Choice Hotels. I'm at the same level for the other hotel chains also. I will just say this; I will not stay in any other Hotel in Salt Lake City except this one. I love the people. I love the breakfast. There is absolutely everything right about this hotel! I guess I'm just saying thank you! People like me who are on the road just don't say thank you enough. ⁣ R. Paul Desmond

WORST TREATMENT EVER!! MANAGER LIED!!! WORST TREATMENT EVER!!! THE MANAGERS LIE!!!! Awful experience with manager here. Made a reservation online, no cancelation policy for the rate. Wasn't planning on canceling. Website said that they have an airport shuttle and that was what we were counting on. When I called to see how much it would cost to park my car there for the time we were gone the manager Irasema informed me that they along with most of the motels in area no longer allowed people to leave their cars there while using the airport shuttle. Then proceeded to tell me people park at the airport and then take the shuttle back to the motel and then back to the airport. So I called around to 12 of the surrounding motels. NONE of them do this. When I called her back after calling Choice hotels to see if they could help, she denied the one time courtesy cancellation and then when I told her I called around, she specifically mentioned that the La Quinta also had the same policy and she told me that. She did not tell me that. In the mean time as I was voicing my concerns, she didn't hang up on my but must have just put the phone down. I could hear background noise, but no one was there. I called over to the La Quinta and spoke to Isaac. He was awesome. He said that they infact DO allow people to leave their cars parked at their facility for the best rate around of $3 a night while the others were all around $10. He also said that if I couldn't cancel at the Quality Inn that we were more than welcome to park at their facility, even if we didn't book a night with them. I tried to call Irasema back at the Quality Inn, I got no answer and decided it wasn't worth being treated so badly again. So I called over at La Quinta, explained to Isaac what was happening, he gave me a stellar rate and was so kind. So now I am paying for a motel room I won't use, as I am afraid of how I would be treated in person if I were to stay there.

OK 2 night stay in Salt Lake City Stayed here for 2 nights in October whilst on a touring holiday. Our check in went well. The room itself was quite clean and comfortable, including the bed for a good for a restful sleep. Our TV worked well. Breakfast provided was fairly basic but ok, could be improved with a few more choices on offer. Location was fairly handy to explore sights and do shopping, with our car. On the down side - the staff's children seemed to be there the whole stay, running all over the place and even manning the front desk at times. When we went to shower we found the taps had been plumbed backward ie hot is cold and the cold is hot- -almost burnt myself -very dangerous -especially if kids were using it! Also when our room was serviced the fridge was turned off. Our medication in fridge became warm - went to reception to report these issues and there were only older children manning the desk - who just smirked when we mentioned these problems. Later a ?maintenance man came to our room to apologise and said he would inform management for us. WIFI was really poor when we stayed, we had to use our phones for any internet instead.

Go Somewhere Else. This is for the Quality Inn downtown. I see some of the reviews (the good ones) are for the airport one. Here the elevator worked sometimes, and I was on the third floor. The staff was only minimally helpful. At least the room was clean. There was no book about the television or nearby restaurants, or emergency exits.
