Winter Getaway at the Beach We stayed at this Resort because we would always walk right by it when we walked to the San Clemente Pier. We stayed there for 1 week & it didn't disappoint. We got the 1 bedroom which was a little tight, but effective. The room had a full kitchen & nice dinning table to eat. We could also eat outside on the patio facing the ocean, but it was mostly cold as So Cal is experiencing some of the biggest storms in over 40 years. We did luck out though as it mostly rained at night & we only got a couple of days where it rained part of the day. Again, our beach front patio was spectacular overlooking the San Clemente pier. At night it was quiet with very comfortable Queen beds. There was a gas fireplace in the living room which took the edge off the cold when sitting on the comfortable couch watching TV at night. The shower had instant hot water & had some provided toiletries. The mirror in the living room made the unit look bigger. A very nice feature was gated underground parking which you almost never see. The guests get a garage gate opener which works for 2 separate garages. There is a 4 person spa on the top deck as well as a nice barbecue grille. We used it twice while getting some great steaks at Billy's Meats in downtown. Probably the most obvious thing was the absolute kindness of the staff. I have traveled in the US & abroad for over 50 years & have never met such a warming kind hearted staff. I'm trying to remember them all. Kim, Shannon, Linda, Monique. There is more, but I can't remember, but they were some wonderful Ladies. We definitely will go back. One of the relaxing vacation experiences we have had & they helped make it possible.

small gem right on the beach.... Beautiful, clean, small but functional, right on the beach! Some views are from the balcony but all views are great. Check in/front desk was cheerful, knowledgeable, amazingly helpful - any questions call and ask. Highly recommend

FANTASTIC location and views of the Ocean and Pier. Great location, great views, great staff, great town. We got in a little early and at check in were told that they had a cancellation and we were getting upgraded to an ocean view. The staff was great all the way around. The complimentary margarita Wednesday was great as well. It was just my wife and me for most of the week and my son joined us late in the stay....still plenty of room. The area is fantastic, take some day trips! I highly recommend the hikes on Dana Point and to Trellises beach (a very cool, local surf spot, isolated and during the week it feels like your own private beach). Tuesday you can get 1/2 price whale watching tours out of Dana Point. If you want to fish, you can do so off of the pier with no license required. On the pier there is a restaurant that has multiple different happy hours during the week...you can get a schedule from the staff at the hotel. February was off season so it is not as crowded, but be ready for some chilly days. Coats, sweatshirts and jeans will be wanted, but not every day...Suns out guns out!

great location and friendly staff Asked for ocean view, got it and the room is clean, updated and very comfortable bed. Right across from pier, so could watch lots of action from our balcony and easy access to restaurants. Walking to town is easy. Staff is exceptionally friendly and anything you ask for is immediately taken care of. Highly recommend. Only thing is resort fees they now charge on these exchanges make trading weeks more expensive and limits your funds to go have fun. Other than that, it was great. Only down side is no pool and small rooftop jacuzzi that has no view. Tiny rooftop area is great for watching sunsets and doing a BBQ, but only about 4-6 people can fit. Nice small club house room on rooftop has a kitchan and we played games up there. Windows look out to the pier. The cookies and hot chocolate, and the other treats were nice, but well paid for with the resort fee. WE didn't do any of the crafts offered because we were busy, but it was nice for those interested. I would definitely stay again.
