Great time at the beach Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Sea Beach Hotel. Can't beat the location, on the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. Rooms are big, clean and the staff is great. The GM Aron is ready and able to help you with whatever he can and is happy to do so. Will be back in a couple of weeks.

Not worth what ur paying, stay downtown Too expensive for what ur paying for. It was 400 for a room with ripped carpeting and had a musty smell all throughout the hotel. The location was nice and the beach was nice but everything else stunk. Front desk was nice but parking was overpriced and not worth the money. Stay downtown please

Good hotel, but overpriced for the cons...sorry. Pros: The hotel room looked just like online, nice. Spacious bathroom. Staff was great. Our fridge did not work when we arrived and they switched it out quickly. Cons: The people who stayed at the hotel were loud. We stayed Sunday through Thursday morning and every night we went to bed hearing loud people in the pool until the Staff cleared them out at 10:30 pm. We slept with the window open to hear the ocean, which was nice, but one night we were awoken by a homeless guy in front of the hotel singing loudly. At 12:15 am, there was a woman who decided to have a loud phone conversation on her balcony. This is not the fault of the hotel, merely their patrons. And at 6:30 am, delivery trucks and garbage trucks arrive daily in the parking lot adjacent to the hotel. You hear the sound of beep, beep, beep, from trucks backing up . I cannot imagine how loud it would be next to that parking lot. We were in room 273 which is on the inside facing the pool with a partial ocean view. It was a queen/queen. Great room. The neighborhood is not good for families or adults who dislike the smell of marijuana 24/7. Lots of homeless, lots of good-weird people watching if you enjoy that sort of thing. Lots of loud music on the walkway in front of the hotel. (To be fair, north of the hotel about 25 yards down is worse than it is directly in front of the Blue Sea.) Overall, I really did like the hotel but it is super expensive and I discovered PB is not my scene. For adults who like to go out to bars, they would probably love it.

Depends what you want… If you’re looking to pay top dollar for a location on the beach, and the location is all you’re interested in, then sure, by all means… But for roughly $550 / night I would have expected better then just a motel on the beach. Pros: Location There’s a pool & a jacuzzi Beds are comfortable Staff is friendly enough Cons: Insanely expensive to stay Parking is expensive Hotel needs maintenance Bathrooms are tiny (sink is very small) Nothing luxurious whatsoever for the price Staircase was dirty No restaurants Takeaway…far too expensive for what you get (unless beach access is the only requirement).

Blue Sea Beach Hotel - the ultimate Mission Beach / San Diego experience The location of this hotel is perfect, right on the beach. Waking up and viewing the ocean can’t be beat. A number of great eateries are either walkable or within a short drive without a lot of congestion. I’ve been staying at the hotel & location since the 80’s which says a lot. It’s the ultimate experience of Mission Beach & San Diego…
