Great Stay in Japantown My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Enso for a short trip to San Francisco. It’s a great option in Japantown if you’re looking for a nice hotel on the quieter side of town. Check-in was very easy and the guy at the front desk was friendly and checked us in quickly. There’s a small selection of snacks and drinks at the front desk if you are feeling peckish throughout your stay. Because I have Platinum Elite status, we received a 10 dollar credit for snacks and got free 2 pm checkout—this was a nice perk! Our room was spacious and with Japanese design touches throughout. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, and good water pressure in the shower. The bathroom door did swing out instead of in which was quite awkward. Location is great although not smack in the middle of touristy things, so take that into consideration if you’re planning to do those. Great food options near the hotel, and there’s a very interesting historical path in the neighborhood. Overall we had a great stay, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

You can probably find better There were a few non-solvable problems with our room. Firstly, and most important, there was wind noise even though our sliding door was completely shut. This was so loud that it would have prevented sleeping if I hadn't brought ear plugs. Secondly, the 2 chairs were so incredibly uncomfortable as to be unusable. Lastly, the door to the bathroom opened out, taking up almost the entire passageway between the room door and the sleeping area. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Decent experience but poor wifi Bed was very comfortable. Room was decent sized for a hotel in San Francisco! Free coffee in the morning. It's right in the heart of Japantown so lots of great asian restaurants across the street. Unfortunately the wifi did not work well in my room, nor in the gym, so that the Peloton bike was not functional in streaming a program. Pretty hard to do work from this hotel room which is disappointing. In this day and age, wifi shouldn't be difficult!

Fantastic, top-notch hotel Fantastic visit from beginning to end. The hotel is clean. The staff are courteous, kind, and friendly. The location cannot be beat. Japantown, even though crowded, is quiet. The room is spacious and the bed is comfy. Sounds silly, but I actually chose this hotel over others, as it has a yoga mat in the room. Who doesn’t love a good stretch after traveling in a cramped plane! This is my new go-to when visiting the city. 10/10.

Great hotel and staff Great hotel, super conveniently located in the center of Japan town. The room is tastefully decorated and the staff friendly. The room was immaculate thanks to Elaine, who was amazing. The only downside was the walls are thin so you could hear your neighbors, and the shower would leak a bit. Overall amazing hotel I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
