Comfy Classic The surrounding neighborhood looks to be your small quaint town. The hotel is dated and is in need of an update. The room was comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet at night. The basics were in order, clean room, hot shower, and stable wifi. For the price and accommodations, I would stay again. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Quality Inn San Jose Room was $120.00 and it was clean but tired and worn. No shuttle to SJC airport so had to pay $55.00 RT in Uber rides. Holes in the curtains, no decent place to eat. The neighborhood wasn't the best. The breakfast was good. Wouldn't stay there again.

Pretty basic As Silicon Valley has gone mad with prices this is a reasonable choice for a short stay. Rooms are spacious, you can open the window in the room, bathroom is of good size, you can have coffee and decent breakfast by US standards. But - shower pressure is miserable, the armchair by the work table is broken, all the bedding is polyester, pillows are also polyester. The staff tries hard and the room is clean.

Variable This hotel is located in an ethnic neighborhood commercial area about a mile from city center. We checked in and went up to our room and found a hole punched in the wall, an iron burn on the carpet, ripped upholstery on the chair, the phone not working, the television wouldn't turn on, and the room "iPad" smashed. We immediately went back to the front desk to complain and were promptly given the room next door that had none of these issues. In fact, this room was average sized, comfortable and fairly well maintained. Later in our stay we noted that we had one of the larger rooms in the hotel, with some being quite small. Rooms overlooking the parking lot are quieter than those facing the busy street - none offer any scenic views. Breakfast was variable, with one day being pretty good and another day with minimal food available and the biscuits being very stale - like hockey pucks. Note that the breakfast area in the lobby is fairly small, with more than about 6 persons filling it up. Staff were friendly and efficient. Obviously the hotel uses "demand management" to set room rates, with ours varying from about $100 to $180 over 3 nights. If you can get a larger room for under about $130/night it is a pretty good deal in a city of expensive hotels.

Reasonably priced. Comfortable stay The hotel is near the airport. The area might seem unsafe but as long as you take the usual precautions, then you are about as safe as you would be in most big cities. I had a quiet comfortable stay in a clean room.
