Nice hotel, friendly staff. Good for a short stay. We arrived at 21.00, very tired from a long day travelling from the UK. The man at reception desk was very pleasant and attentive. Without asking or prompting we were given a free upgrade to the presidential suite. Being very tired it didn't really sink in at the time. The room was huge and my son was very happy. The hotel itself is a little dated, however the room was clean and it was perfect for a couple of nights. The breakfast was 15 dollar per person, was unlimited buffet style and Inc fruit, cereal and hot options (bacon, sausage, eggs, rice & beans etc). The staff at breakfast were also very attentive, thank you Maxwell. The hotel location is perfect for the airport approx 8min drive. However, there is nothing in close proximity to the hotel. We ordered food through uber eats however their are a couple of restaurants in the hotel. The pool was OK though very quiet whilst we were there. Drinks are expensive. Small shop sells drinks, snacks and souvenirs. We would return here because it was convenient, friendly and clean.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!! My family and I went for four days and three nights and they were the most accommodating hotel and staff we could ever possibly meet in the Costa Rica. It was our first trip but not our last. We are very eager to come back and enjoy more. Thank you to all that served, you are all amazing !!!!

Pretty run down hotel with poor bedroom WIFI We travelled from Puerto Viejo back to San Jose using Frank, at Flat Rate Taxis. We only stayed here for one night as our flight was the next day- I wouldn’t recommend spending anymore time here. It’s a big hotel, we were in room on the second floor which had a balcony, but the view was pretty grim and overlooked a factory type place. If you’re staying for longer, you may want to request a pool view room. The rooms are a little run down and dated. It had 2 very comfortable, double beds, TV (Spanish channels only), balcony, coffee machine, fridge with complimentary water, large closet, safety deposit box, iron and ironing board and they do have a laundry service. Plenty of sockets all of which take a US adaptor. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. No shower gel, just soap, but they do provide shampoo and conditioner in one. The room and all common areas have a very distinctive downtown vegas smell (if you’ve been, you’ll know what I mean- sweet, but a bit musty). The internet in the bedroom was really poor, but fine in the lobby and restaurant. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast, but we didn’t have a B&B deal- we ate at the McDonalds, which is pretty close by- 10 minute walk over the bridge. There is another restaurant called Pirates where had dinner in on the evening we arrived-don’t order a grande pizza to yourself as it was absolutely huge! The food was ok, but pretty basic and a little overpriced for the quality- it serves food and drink until 9pm. Quite a few people were having food delivered which the hotel seemed fine with. They do have another restaurant on site, which is their main one and casino. We did go in the casino for a little flutter on the bandits, but didn’t stay there long. There are 2 pools. One quieter, smaller one close to reception and the larger one with the pool bar and jacuzzis. When we went in the pool about 6:30pm it was pretty quiet and the pool bar had closed- which could have been down to how cold it was that night. Each pool has a small amount of sun-beds and seating. There is also a little games area with pool tables, chess and other types of games. We wanted to keep the room on so we could watch the England final against Spain. It was fine for us to do so, but the price is $50 plus taxes until 5pm. They will give you a complimentary late checkout until 1pm. There is a gift shop onsite, overpriced, but had some nice things. Not sure if the hotel had a spa or anything. The hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle bus service to the airport which is about 15 minutes away- we were travelling on a Sunday and it’s a lot quieter. You may need extra travel time on busier days. It’s quite noisy in the morning with people getting ready for early flights and they did start some maintenance work pretty early on. I don’t know if I’d stay again as there are some nicer hotels close to the airport, but it was convenient and well priced for a one night stay.

If you want to be close to the airport... The location was not in an area unless like us you were waiting for a flight or maybe having a conference.. The lobby was really nice and the check in staff was perfect, friendly and helpful. The room was nice size, the bathroom was large and both were clean, the linens clean, comfortable and fluffy. The view was of industrial buildings and rather drab so ask for a pool view room.. The main pool was big w/ a swim up bar but there were not near enough chairs / lounges for the few people that were there. The water in the main pool was very cloudy and you could not see the bottom or even the bottom rung of the ladder so we did not use. The smaller pool, still a good size was clean and clear but freezing and again only 4 plastic Adirondack chairs total and did have a bar but was not open or staffed. The included breakfast Buffett was very good with lots of options and good coffee. The lunch and dinner options were minimal and expensive but good enough. A few in our party used the gym and said it was great, offered personal assistance and lots of different machines, free weights, foam rollers, large balance balls etc. Our self arranged airport transfer stood us up at 3:30 AM but the front desk staff jumped right on it and got us a van w/i 10 minutes and saved us so for that I am very grateful. Overall I'd stay again if waiting on a flight to be close to the airport but not really felt like it was a destination and seemed a little run down in some areas.

Good Find! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. I was only there for a few hours (late arrival and early departure), but I wish I could have stayed longer. Facilities were beautiful, staff was very pleasant, and breakfast was so yummy.
