Great food and great service! The food was very good. There was a good amount of vegetarian options, all of which were very tasty. The captain Miguel and our server, Evelyn, were very nice and warm. They helped us celebrate a birthday.

If You’re Planning a Trip in the Off-Season, I Highly Recommend This Place I recently stayed at the Royal Solaris San José del Cabo Resort, and I’d like to share my experience. I had read some negative reviews about this property, but my stay turned out quite different. I realized most of those reviews were written during the peak season. I visited in August, during the off-season, and didn’t encounter the same inconveniences. There was a minor issue with the toilet not flushing well, but within 10 minutes of reporting it, the maintenance team arrived and resolved it quickly. The dinner reservation system was a little unusual, but nowhere near as bad as some reviews described. On two separate occasions, I visited restaurants during meal times without a reservation, and both times I was able to dine without any problem. In particular, the ZAI Asian Cuisine restaurant did not have an extensive menu, but some of the dishes were of genuinely high quality. The buffet food overall was satisfying, and the light snacks served at the bar were also above average. The only downside was that the juice throughout the resort wasn’t very good. What impressed me most about this resort is its value for money. The overall service, facilities, and food quality far exceeded the amount I paid. Compared to my stay in Cancún during the same period, this resort was better in every aspect, and the value for money was on another level. If you’re extremely sensitive to minor inconveniences, you might prefer booking a high-end luxury resort, but in truth, no property can provide 100% perfect service. I truly felt that the off-season offers even better service and a more relaxed atmosphere. While I can’t speak for the peak season, if you’re planning a trip during the off-season, I highly recommend this place.

A great time for a family of 10, ages 9 to 74 :) This was our first time to Royal Solaris but our 5th Mexican resort vacation. What stands out the most about Royal Solaris is how much there is to do! We met the wonderfully energetic and cheerful Alejandra and her amazing team (shout out to Carlos who is wonderful with kids and adults alike, Alexandra, Fernanda) on day 1 and whether they were leading poolside games/contests, volleyball games, karaoke, a wildly fun Foam Party, a Tiki party, Bingo...there was no shortage of things to do for a family of multiple ages (ours ranged from 9 to 74 :)). I also really enjoyed the sunrise yoga taught by Maggie and assisted by Allie but wish it had been better advertised as I only found out about it on the last day! Jacob, our daily server at the buffet was also so lovely and attentive. Jose Luis also made pro pizzas daily and kept our kids very happy :) The staff really enhanced our experience during this trip. We mostly ate at the buffet, which had good quality food and decent variety. Unfortunately, getting reservations at the restaurants was a little tricky at times due to our group size so we were only able to go to Marco Polo and Panchos, both of which were nice meals but not particularly outstanding. Our rooms were clean and air conditioned, which was welcomed in the August heat, as was the giant pool with lots of surrounding pool chairs with plenty of room for everyone. We also enjoyed the diversity of guests (including many locals!) so it wasn't just a sea of Canadians (like us :)) and Americans. Overall, a wonderful experience! Thank you!

Love the staff! The stay was absolutely pleasant! Thanks to the great staff. Starting with Alberto Vargas in the lobby who greeted us with a welcoming smile. Tamayo and Gaspar in the premier bar were the best! Not only did they make the best drink but they kept us laughing the whole time. Mayra Monzon and Christian at Cafe Solaris are so awesome! The entertainment staff Alexandra and Fernanda are so awesome! Eduardo from the pool staff was as well as Cardenas and the rest of the boys were on top of it. Capitán Alex made sure we felt welcomed! They are all the reason we enjoy coming to Royal Solaris.
