DO NOT DO IT!! It was graduation weekend and we needed a place to stay close to our sons house, and all hotels were way over priced! I picked Lamplighter for it’s proximity to my son. We had a family suite. The walls are like paper, you hear everything outside, above or below you, it’s ridiculous. We were pooped from a very full day and tried to go to bed around 9:30, as soon as I turned off the light i heard people screaming and yelling and something hitting cars in the parking lot. Looked out the window and it was grown men playing wiffle ball in the parking lot. I waited a half hour and then called the front desk (had to use my cell as the phone in the room apparently is just for looks). I asked the young man that answered the phone if he could send someone to ask the men to stop as I did not want to interact, and he said “be patient everyone is just trying to have some fun “. Idk if he ever talked to them, as 5 minutes later they hit a car and the alarm went off, then they scattered. Also, they put 2 separate holds on my card each for the full amount of my stay, and the duplicate did not release for 4 days. My room for grad weekend was $500+ per night, and it was a pit. If I had anywhere else to stay I would have hightailed it out of there. Bedding is stained, couch looked like it has seen way too much, and bathroom was moldy. Never will I ever even look at a lamplighter inn again!

They are liars and when asked more questions they will hang up the phone so they don’t lie anymore Terrible customer service and terrible Stay. Came due to a promotion from the city, midweek stay earned $100 cash reward. So basically a super inexpensive stay. I should have followed my instincts and cancelled this place when I called about the amenities listed on the website. “Hello it says seasonal pool, it’s summer so I’m sure it’s open” front desk-“no it’s not” ok well I see there’s a jacuzzi, that’s working right? Employee “no it’s not” me, so I see there’s a business center and coffee, “no and I’m really busy I have to to” proceeds to hang up. So I never asked about the “breakfast coming soon” listed on the website. When we arrived no breakfast. Stay away!!!

Horrible & Disgusting This hotel was a motel and they gave us a room across the street in back of the main hotel/motel. The room assigned to me #3102. It was disgusting beyond belief. It was booked through booking.com Upon my arrival I asked to see the room and was in horror by its deteriorating state and unsafe area near an alleyway. Neither booking.com nor the hotel itself would refund me any charges. I paid $220 for this dump that I did not stay in. Manager was very rude and would do nothing to accommodate me and my friend, in which it was her bday that we were celebrating. I thought a weekend getaway would be a nice treat. Unfortunately we had to spend the next couple of hours finding a room instead of shopping and day drinking.

Front desk empty; locked out of my room for hours Unacceptable. I'm sitting in the lobby at 8:05 a.m. locked out of my room for the last half hour. (I went for coffee and when I returned my key had stopped working for some reason.) There is no employee anywhere onsite, and no one has responded to the phone number posted at the front desk for "immediate assistance." Meanwhile the front door is wide open. There's a sign saying the lobby is closed so I guess this is their policy somehow, but I've never seen anything like it. I have no idea when or how I'll get my belongings. I was supposed to be on the road by now... EDIT: After 1.5 hours, someone showed up. They apologized and refunded half my bill, which was nice. But they also gave me a bogus story about what supposedly happened, and they confirmed no one has been on duty because they’re currently understaffed. I sympathize (sort of) but I relation with my view that this is an unacceptable practice. I mean… What if I’d had my 2-year-old nephew with me and I’d just run down the hall for ice? Crazy.
