Excellent Very friendly, attentive and welcoming reception. Abundant parking and the room was spacious, clean, and easily accessible. Amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffeemaker and TV worked flawlessly, bathroom was stocked with wall mounted flasks of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. A (off the leash dog) park is in walking distance, the Denny’s next door offers a good breakfast experience with a discount (vegetarian options are limited). Very pleasant experience.

Nice, clean place just south of SLO We were pleased with our spacious king room. Very clean and comfortable, firm mattress. Friendly desk clerk. Two suggestions: a suitcase stand and exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Outstanding I have stayed at the Vagabond off and on for years and it’s always quiet, clean, and affordable. I appreciate the owners very much for all that they do. Many other hotels in San Luis Obispo are outrageously priced, which means that only wealthy people can come to San Luis Obispo and stay. I’m very grateful to the Vagabond people for making it possible for someone like me, who works in retail and makes a low wage, to afford a stay in San Luis Obispo.

Decently renovated rooms - good overall Usual old motel structure, but rooms nicely redecorated and clean. Mattress a little soft, but we've seen much worse. Didn't use the pool, presume the water was still frigid given the cold nights. Basic coffee machine, fridge n microwave. No breakfast provided, but it is right next door to Denny's. Good overall experience.
