This property is not in the best condition. I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. At check in, I was advised that, in addition to my Friday night fee totaling $315, I would be charged an additional $100 on my credit card in case I damaged the room. This fee might be refunded within 7 days of my stay. The clerk advised me that the fee is "standard procedure," but I travel quite a bit - at least I used to pre-covid - and I do not find this to be standard procedure at all. After checking in, I took a cart to the garage to fetch my baggage. The door between the garage and the elevator is controlled by the room key, and mine did not work. A kind young man who worked at the hotel let me in. I took my cart up to my second floor room, and my key did not work on the door to my room either. So I had to lug my cart downstairs and wait in line for another 20 minutes at the check in desk to obtain a key that worked. Returning to my room, I decided to watch some of the Olympics on TV, however the TV also did not work. My room was shabby and poorly laid out. The furniture was knicked and dinged. The paint was chipped in many places. The carpet was stained. There was hair on my bed that did not belong to me. And the sink was not even in the bathroom. There was only 1 good thing about this hotel; the lady who dispensed the breakfast items was very generous. Oh, and by the way - this hotel hides the tea, so if you are a tea drinker rather than a coffee drinker, you had best bring your own tea bags. Except during breakfast hours, you will not be able to find any. Even during breakfast hours, you will have to wait in a long line to get a tea bag. In summation, I would avoid this hotel. It was not worth the money, and there are many better properties in Santa Cruz.

Average The pictures on the site look really nice but the hotel itself was average. The lobby area was updated and looked nice but the rooms were not up to par. The bed was a little hard and not comfortable. Housekeeping did not come to our room at all. Breakfast was offered each morning with multiple options for each day. The staff was nice for the most part. The lady at the front desk was not too nice when we decided to check out a day early. The location of the hotel was nice and close to just about anything you are wanting to do in Santa Cruz.

Skip this one Sounded great in reviews and the sales pitch from the Webb site. Do not judge a book by its cover. One can hear the flushing of the toilets even in the hall ways. The furniture is soiled, the toilet is old school height, the breakfast is a joke, the breakfast sandwiches were just barely warm , the muffin was mashed I took it back, the waffles were a total Mickey Mouse item. Not a great stay, we are old and have traveled extensively, take my word ….go somewhere else.
