They left the light on I usually stay at Hyatts and had low expectations. I stayed here with my dog. This motel is within a mile walk to both the plaza and the railyard. They provide free parking, wifi and morning coffee. They don't charge extra for a dog. Many hotels in the vicinity charge over $200 per night and then charge 20+ for parking, 50+ pet fee and a resort fee that includes things like coffee and wifi. I paid $82 including tax. The room including sheets and towels was clean but basic. I felt safe. If you come here with realistic expectations you will not be disappointed.

RUN! DON'T WALK! On Friday afternoon upon our arrival for the weekend, we had no air conditioning in ninety-plus degree heat. When we went to the office, the owner blew us off stating it worked fine. (He never came to the room to inspect it!) While nearby rooms had their sheer curtain fluttering in the AC breeze, ours remained unmoving like a dead dog by the road. The room key cards worked inconsistently, and we had to visit the front desk several times to try and rectify this situation. On Saturday afternoon, when we needed the keys reprogrammed (AGAIN!), the woman at the desk said we should have requested a room change that morning. Great! Why didn't anyone on Friday night propose that when we originally complained about the poor and hot conditions? The door lock would not easily open, so that in the event of an emergency, a safe exit was not likely. The sink didn't flow and was backed up. Yet, the property's promotional materials claim the property has been "newly renovated." It further states that rooms are furnished with a microwave and a coffee maker, neither of which were in our room. We've stayed here many times before when visiting Santa Fe and have never experienced anything this horrible. Further, the outside stairways are corroding and separating from the second floor in a walk-up motel. Please, find another Santa Fe Plaza property where your party will be treated fairly and heard. Do not patronize! You've been forewarned!

Felipe the man who saved my trip because my wife is a nut job Felipe the front desk man, was with no exception the most outstanding person I've ever met. With a wealth of knowledge of all the things to see in Santa Fe. Not only is he probably handsome and smart. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made our stay such an enjoyable one. My wife was very frantic about trips was completely and disarray and he figured that nut job out and settled that crazy whack job down thank God.

Good solid stay Clean, neat, inexpensive. No breakfast provided. Parking was free. About a mile walk to the Plaza. Easy to visit railyard for the market and the museums. Good accommodation between downtown and Museum Hill. Easy to get to off the highway..

Does not take security seriously Do not stay here. During our stay, the front desk clerk gave a key to our room to another guest. I was laying in bed in only a bra and underwear when a complete stranger opened the door. I yelled at the guy that he obviously had the key to the wrong room and he left. This is a HUGE security breach. What if this random person had been dangerous? What if I had been asleep when a potentially dangerous person was given access to my room? Apparently Motel 6 corporate doesn't care about this issue either. They should have refunded at least part of our stay for this incident. I will do my best to tell everyone I know that Motel 6 doesn't take the security of their guests seriously. Also, our towels were only replaced one day out of a four night stay. The trash was also only emptied once. Other than Thursday, (the day they let some guy have access to our room) we left in the morning and did not come back until after dark. There's no reason for housekeeping to skip our room every day except Thursday.
