Bayside Hotel

Very cool place to stay Besides the view and proximity to the beach, and pier, the rooms are spacious and clean. The property is charming and comfortable. Comviently located to just about everything in Santa Monica as well. However what really makes this a great place is the manager and front office staff. Robert is personable, friendly and helpful. And extremely knowledgeable of the area. A must if you are visiting Santa Monica.

Weekend getaway checked all the boxes We stayed at the Bayside Hotel for a little weekend getaway from New York and where welcomed with the upmost friendliness one can expect. We were to early to check in but still were shown room options to ensure we will have the best experience. I believe the agent was George and had Greek roots. The room seemed recently renovated and was very clean. I run a 4 star hotel myself and was impressed by the professionalism and kindness every team member encountered us with. The free bike rental was such a welcomed surprise. Last the location was perfect. Close to the beach plenty of dining options around and easy to access without being in a noisy area. We ended up sleeping with open windows enjoying the ocean view while listening to the waves. Thank you Bayside Team

Excellent Customer Service I have not stayed here yet, but I have to tell you the customer service was just off the charts excellent when I had an issue with my reservation. Thank you KOSTA! You were so accomodating and I can't wait to stay!

Short but good stay I was only staying for one night before heading to San Diego but this little hotel didn’t disappoint. Good value for the room - Spacious, comfortable bed and a good size bathroom. I had beachfront view and I could still sleep through the night. The people working at the hotel were really helpful. Location is great: 5 minutes walking to Santa Monica Pier, 10 minutes walking to the 3rd street Promenade for shopping and 20 minutes walking to Venice.

Awful My experience at Bayside Hotel was atrocious. It was way too expensive for a tiny, badly decorated room with a view of a wall (I had asked for an ocean view) They charge an extra $36!!! per day for parking in such a small enclosed lot that you’d be lucky if your car doesn't get dinged or, for that matter stolen. No AARP or AAA discounts were mentioned by the reception staff and when I asked for alternate parking, the staff was not helpful at all. One of them—the guy—was downright rude, The outside of the hotel was a mess too. Old clothing, bikes. food and other crap were strewn everywhere. Even the outside smelled bad. I would feel ashamed to bring a guest to this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in Santa Monica. Approximately same price, free, underground parking, elevator, AARP discount (mentioned by the staff), Rooms are well-appointed, nicely decorated, staff efficient and helpful. Some even have gyms. All for the same price. DO NOT stay at Bayside. It will ruin you Santa Monica experience.
