Outstanding experience & service The Sheraton was my temporary home for six weeks during the summer. In spite of COVID, the experience was fantatic. The property sits right accross from the park and river and a suite here with a river view is hard to beat in Saskatoon. Breakfast is excellent and Carver's serves the best steak in town (in my opinion). During my stay the staff, to a person, were exceptional. Highly recommended!!

Good value in the core of downtown Saskatoon. Got upgraded to a traditional king room with waterpark access. Excellent location by the river, right in the downtown core. Comfy bed, great AC, friendly staff, renovated room, what I expected from Sheraton. The waterpark is showing its age, probably due for an extensive renovation. One of the onsite restaurants is still closed, probably due to COVID.

Scarlett restaurant has some issues. Went for lunch to then Scarlet dining area. We all selected the cob salad. Among other items the salad items on the menu included snap peas and smoked chicken. Two declined the smoked chicken and substituted grilled chicken, I went for the smoked. The grilled chicken came with an adequate amount (certainly not excessive) while the smoked chicken was almost non existent. I advised the server and said they bring more out. Nothing happened for a while. I asked again. Finally it arrived when my salad was almost done. As for the snap peas there were none in the salad at all. Asked about that and was told they were not listed on the menu! Clearly they were. Sorry, no tip. I expect much better for $16 a plate.

Absolutely NOT worth the money This hotel is a 2 star, at best. Run-down, dingy with old decor. The hallway carpets are dirty and smell like they have a history of being smoked in. There was a wrapper outside our doorway in the hallway when we checked in and 3 days later, when we checked out, the wrapper was still there. Although the beds were comfortable, the room was old with decaying furniture. We took advantage of the water park, which only had the water slide running for a portion of the time. You have to book the water park in advance by contacting the front desk. When I went yo the front desk, the attendant answered a phone call instead of helping me, even though I had been there waiting. I ended up waiting for at least 10 minutes while he spoke on the phone before he finally helped me book the water park. When we got yo the water park, it was quite crowded. The water slide wasn’t working. We had to ask the attendant to turn it on for us. The key passes didn’t work for the gym or the water park. We had to go to the front desk three times to get the cards reprogrammed before it actually worked. Parking is $15 a day. Which is a big rip off considering there’s free street parking, which we found. There were a couple of restaurants we walked to, but there are no convenience stores nearby. We tried to get snacks after 10:00 pm and there was no where to go and room service was already closed. So be sure yo stock up on snacks and drinks somewhere else. If you like to watch tv before bed, you will be disappointed with the cable programming. There are French, news channels, and local/hotel stations. Perhaps a hotel of this caliber could have a movie channel or at the very least some of the American networks. The day we checked out, we were awoken by a siren in the hallway at 630 am. Although we had planned on sleeping in, we ended up getting up and heading home early, since the siren had woken us all up. When I checked out, the front desk staff made no mention of it, no apology at all. In fact, he never even asked me how our stay was. Since we paid with Expedia, we didn’t have anything remaining on our bill. The front desk attendant simply said, “you’re good to go”. At a hotel like this, I was expecting a bit of friendly service, or perhaps a “thank you for staying with us” or “safe travels”. We will not return yo this hotel. Sheraton hotels generally have a good reputation. We have some expectations of standards when staying at this chain. Especially when it comes to friendly, welcoming staff. This hotel does not fit the bill. The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon is a disappointment and embarrassment to the Sheraton chain.
