Lovely stay Booked the crown spa for a couple of nights whilst visiting family. The hotel was lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was huge it was very hot without any heating on but we had a fan available and that worked brilliantly. We had an extra bed for my son and it was just as comfortable as the big bed. Breakfast buffet was tasty. The staff even offered to make my autistic son and alternative as he hadn't eaten much. Was very kind. The swimming pool was lovely and we had it to ourselves first thing Sunday morning. We will definitely book here again when we come to visit our family Oh and the bar menu was perfect for us in the evenings

Average hotel We stayed for one night the Saturday after Christmas, the hotel is in a good location with view over the bay and 10 min walk to the centre. We didn’t eat at the hotel due to poor reviews but the breakfast was nice and plentiful as buffet style. The bed was comfy and room was clean but the corridors are in need of a refurb. When we checked in at 3pm there was a massive queue and only one person ok reception. Eventually they brought someone else out, The spa is ok and again clean but the main pool is cold . The sauna and steam room are nice. Overall I’d give it 3 star. Wouldn’t stay again but reasonable price for an overnight stay in central Scarborough.

Terrible I am wheelchair user I was given a room not for wheel chair user ie no t a wet room They treated my disability and two more to my knowledge Discusting This is not a place to go with you have walking issues i am leg amputated I have been twice before with no problem and they know my disability But just said if need a shower use the gym . I will never use this disabilist hotel again

Christmas Special Deals - best avoided. Not a merry Christnas at the Spa We booked for a 3 night Christmas special and it's been a very disappointing experience considering the price we paid. The main complaint has been the poor quality of the food and the slow and unfriendly service. The hotel now seems to cater for coach parties and consequently gone down market. It's a real shame that one of Scarborough's premier hotels has gone downhill so quickly.

Restaurant review 30 of us went for our annual Christmas lunch, our 4th and probably, last time. Two courses, average price around here, but that was all. No mince pies and coffee to finish as in the past, and other venues. Poor show Crown hotel. Meal was mediocre and lukewarm, sprouts, definitely frozen rather than fresh. After the meal we retired to the bar where one member of staff was coping with a queue of our party and other guests. 20 minutes to get a beer and a wine. Not good enough. With the competition in the hospitality sector, you are going to have to do better Nice table settings and staff were lovely
