Hyatt Place Seattle Downtown

Pretty Good Stayed here one night in room 819 (the hotel has nine floors) with a complimentary room upgrade to a higher floor. Here's my experience: a) The standout of this Hyatt is it's fitness center. One of the best I've seen in my weeks traveling. Large, varied in what it offers, and comfortable. I'd probably come stay at this hotel just for the fitness room alone. b) The breakfast could use some improvement. First, I enjoyed an omelet the day I ate there. It was a nice break from the usual scrambled eggs I find at most hot breakfasts. The problem was that the food wasn't really hot. The potatoes and eggs were pretty cold by the time I got to the table, and I don't really waste time sitting down, either. Other points: get a wide variety of Tazo tea like most Hyatt Places. You just had black Lipton the day I visited. Improve on the baked goods. The muffins were O.K., but I know you can do better in such a city as Seattle. c) The people at the front desk were helpful, warm and welcoming. Kudos to all of them! I hate more than anything overly officious and distant people at the front desk. First impressions and all. d) The room was O.K. Not my favorite Hyatt layout. The sink is in the sleeping area, and while it was mostly quiet up on the 8th floor from internal and external noise, the sleeping temperature was challenging and I didn't really have a good night's sleep. e) The lobby could use an update. The curb view of the hotel is a bit off-putting. Overall, I'm planning to stay here again -- so it can't be that bad, but I would urge management to strive for improvement.

Unexpected Surprise! Came here with my fiance at the end of November to celebrate our anniversary and we have no words for how wonderful this stay was! We're usually very used to boutique hotels, so it was a pleasant surprise to stay at a more modern hotel. Everyone was kind to us, the staff was wonderful, and I would love to come back here as a guest! Shout out to Don, Dan, and Lydia for their amazing selves!!

Nice Place Nice View Hyatt is like our second home. Everytime there's power outage, leaking in my house or vacationing, Hyatt is always our TOP choice. We would pick Hyatt wherever there's availability in town. All facilities are clean, comfortable room and staff are very friendly.

Front desk is best Front desk was very helpful. First, they assisted me in taking my luggage to my room, as I was travelling with my 2 years old son. Then, during my stay, they gave me very good advice regarding places to eat near or within walking distance. Housekeeping was adequate, every other day. Breakfast was usually good except the oatmeal. I was slightly disappointed by the closure of bar and on site restaurant, but the nearby options and with the staff advice, lessened that. Cant really beat the view of the Space Needle for the price! I got the big corner room with view, and that was the best decision. It was a mini suite. I would have preferred a bathtub to a standing shower, but the water was hot and pressure good. I also would have preferred a mini fridge with a freezer compartment, although it was indeed quite cold.

Pleasantly surprised Very comfortable bed. Super clean room. Hotel is nicely renovated compared to others on the street. Nice proximity to Mopop and the space needle. I felt safe in the hotel and around the grounds and neighbourhood. Overall excellent value for what was provided
