Wonderful Experience We were so pleased with this hotel that we wanted to write a review. When you walk in the door the decor is so welcoming and the front desk clerk was very nice. We were meeting cousins from Florida and they had put our rooms next to one another which was very convenient for us. Also they have an area where we could play cards and games which we love to do. The rooms themselves were very clean and the mattresses and pillows were amazing! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here. Plus the breakfast had many choices and the coffee was great. We highly recommend COMFORT INN SEDALIA MISSOURI!

Very good experience! Great service received from Kayla upon check in on th 4th of July. I had driven over 9 hours to Sedalia and I just wanted to get into my room and relax. Kayla was very kind, professional and courteous. She listened intently to my short story about why I was visiting the area and also provided information on the fireworks and good places to eat. My room was nice, not totally updated but very good. I liked the separate vanity area where I could get ready without being confined to a closed room. The air conditioning worked great and I had a nice room facing the parking lot. The hotel decor of trains was very cool and intriging. Breakfast on both mornings was very good and the attendents were very friendly as well. I spoke to the manager one of those mornings to get the background of the hotel property and how it came to be. I am looking forward to staying here again and I thank Choice Priviledges for recommending such a nice property.

Comfort Inn Sedalia Station En Route Stay We stayed at this property on a en route trip to Mount Rushmore, South Dakota on a Diamond Tours. We were greeted by Mykel Schlotterbeck Owner/ Manager with a pie and tea greeting! I’ve traveled a lot and this is the first time I’ve been greeted at a hotel with fresh farmers market pie and iced tea. Mykel was extremely accommodating and very friendly, as well as all of her staff. The property was in immaculate condition. The rooms were extremely clean and in order. The exterior has been recently updated and looked very fresh with awesome curb appeal. Her and her staff literally went out of their way to help with so many small details, that I can’t even list them here. Our group consisted of 43 travelers and not even one small complaint was noted! The continental breakfast was very good and filling. We had scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy, make yourself waffles, milk, water, and microwavable breakfast sandwiches along with other breakfast fair. As a group leader who has been leading large groups for the past 5 1/2 years we stayed at a lot of properties that were “more expensive“ but lacked the personal customer service of this family owned and operated Comfort Inn. I highly recommend driving out of your way if you have to and stay at this property if you’re in the Sedalia Missouri area you will not be disappointed. Great Job Mykel & Staff!! A++++

Grade A-mazing! I can sum it up in one word…WOW! My family and I travel a lot for martial arts, so to say we have been to many hotels is an understatement. This hotel, despite being a part of a major chain, is small and really feels like home. The train station decor is absolutely stunning. The guest services was absolutely impeccable. The manager, Mykel, truly enjoys making sure her guests have a great experience. We only planned on staying one night, but then a severe weather system started rolling through and we needed a place to stay. Mykel extended our stay with ease, despite us already checking out. When the storms, including the tornado warnings, begun rolling in, Sierra and Kristy remained calm and got to work. We were sitting in the lobby socializing with friends and watched both of the begin calling every room to inform the guests of the tornado warning. They then guided, that chose to go, to take shelter in a designated corridor in the hotel’s basement. Though I knew Kristy was already stressed due to it being her first night on a new shift, she remained calm and took care of the guests. Prior to the storms rolling in, our group was socializing and talking about experiences we had at other hotels. Sierra was doing a little ear hustling and grew concerned that we were talking about this hotel. We assure her we were not and expressed our pleasure with this hotel. She then became engaged in our conversation. Jokingly, my wife mentioned the lack of towels folded like swans and chocolates on the pillows. Sierra then proceeded behind the hotel and began “folding towels”. Little did we know, she was folding up a towel dog! She presented to my wife along with a little rubber ducky and Hersey’s kisses. Again, the guest experience was absolutely amazing and they did a fantastic job taking care of those that were fearful due to the storms. I am that type of person that needs milk before bed. Due to the storms I forgot to stop and get some…Mykel and Stacey to the rescue! Mykel gave the approval to Stacy to ensure I had milk before bed and allowed me to get some from the breakfast area. If you’re passing through or just want a getaway, this is the place to stay!
