Sedona Stay This is your typical Hampton Inn. We stayed here for 2 nights while in Sedona. It's in a good location with lots of restaurants and a Whole Foods near by. Not far from where the touristy shops are. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast however no sugar-free options like syrup or jam.

This is NOT a typical Hampton Inn! We (mistakenly) booked this hotel in spite of the negative reviews. I thought people were just being critical. Oh my no!! They are quite accurate. We are Diamond members, book almost exclusively Hamptons, Homewoods, or Embassy Suites, wherever we go, because of the consistency. This one… I can’t believe the Hilton people haven’t forced action here!! I am not pretentious, and try to maintain positivity in any hotel, so you know if I’m writing a bad review, it must be bad. Lol! Manager, you have requested room info for reference. We were in room 230 (booked the suite as my husband and I had some planning to do, but regretted the suite upgrade because it wasn’t great). 1) the bathroom was awful. Our bathtub was painted over (yes, painted!) and there is mold on the caulking. The corners of the bathroom floor were dirty. The floor of the tub is spongy. _ Towels are not Hampton quality. The door kept sliding closed while I was at the sink. So I had to use a washcloth as a stopper. The frames around the doors, the walls are in disrepair. I could not take a bath, I was so grossed out! 2) bed was ok. Could have been better. 3) HVAC system was weird. There was a control on the wall (standard in hotels nowadays). There was also a control on the unit under the window (which was loud and old). Which one controls the temps? __‍♀️ We set them both and hoped for the best. 4) paid parking!!! __ Insulting to those people staying with you. Completely unnecessary in this area of West Sedona, from what I can tell. You could simply increase the rates (not until you make major improvements!!) and then give people the green card if they are hotel guests only. Joke. 5) commons areas. Some have said they were nice enough. I disagree. Dated, old, the ice machine area reminded me of 1980’s hotels. The elevator was crazy old. 6) rates were way higher than the vacation clubs nearby. I would have preferred to try those. Even though they also appear dated (according to reviews), it’s worth a whirl, because perhaps they at least have a view. 7) drywall seemed in disrepair throughout the room. 8) the floor by the bar area was sticky 9) the sink in the bar area had something gross in it. 10) the suite setup is odd. Furniture (chairs, couch) were old and seemed kinda dirty. I’m sorry to be negative, but I want to warn travelers. Do NOT book here. There are a gazillion other places to stay in Sedona that looked really lovely and I found myself pining for a stay at any single one of them.

Very Bad Hotel We booked a quick weekend trip. I am a Diamond Member and Hilton usually has consistent good hotels, but this one is really bad. We had booked two nights and got in late the first night. We stayed the one night, but immediately check out the next morning and found another place to stay. It was bad. Mold in bathroom. Sheetrock cracking in ceiling and hanging down. Even the hallways were just in poor condition. The exterior looks fine, but everything on the inside was just bad.

This Hampton Inn has seen better days; $17 undisclosed parking charge I have Hilton Diamond status. Stayed here Jan 6 - 9 and Jan 13 - 14. This Hampton Inn has seen better days. The common areas are fine and the included breakfast is good. The guestrooms need an update. Queen mattresses slant toward the middle of the room. Both rooms had a few black mold spots in the bathroom. The bathtub appears to have been refinished, and the surface is now stained. Caulk in the bathtub is worn off. Found a piece of an apple on the floor by the bed. The first room we had did not allow for constant fan running for the HVAC. There’s a window shade but it is not a blackout shade (same for both rooms). What’s even more insulting is they charge $17 per night to park a car. This is not disclosed when you book the room, or when you check in, and not warranted for this area. This was our go to hotel for short Sedona stays. I won’t stay here again.

Bad experience in Sedona Hampton Inn in Sedona is not up to the usual standards of the chain. I always stay at Hamptons for their consistency. Thin sheets installed inside out (twice). Towels and wash cloths were thin, like cheese cloth. Virtually no hot water. Bathroom grout was moldy. Water did not drain in bathroom sink, Hall carpet was filthy. The location is great, but I would not recommend this hotel.
