Grandstay Residential Suites Hotel - Sheboygan

Poor Customer Service We stayed here to visit family in the area. The hotel itself is generally clean, but a little dated. The room is clean. We could hear people next door talking loud so the walls are pretty much no soundproof barrier. Fitness center could use update on equipment and additional weights. Check in went smoothly and the desk receptionist was accommodating that time. Breakfast was ok. We requested a late check out. The next day, the hotel had a different receptionist. That pretty much went downhill right there. We were supposed to check out at noon. I was getting a cart to bring to our room at 11 am. Went back up to our floor (3rd floor) and the key stopped working. I went down to see the receptionist to give us access to our room and she was rude. She didn't even bother responding verbally but just grabbed my key and reprogrammed it. I was very polite and thankful. I walked back up to our room and the key didn't work so I went back downstairs again to let her know. This happened 4x and every time, she wasn't at the desk. I had to ring the bell. She wasn't apologetic or nothing! She gave me a different key card. At that point, I told her that I'd check the key to the pool and fitness center to see if it works and it did. Walked up to the third floor and key didn't work again. She sighed a couple of times and told me "I don't know what to tell you. I reprogrammed it every time." I was getting irritated and asked her why the key wasn't working, and I also gave her the new key card with the sleeve that says our room number. I tried again and it didn't work. The sixth time, I went downstairs and talked to her, she finally said with a rude expression, "I'll have to go up there and unlock it for you." I started walking back and I was assuming she did also because I heard her walk out of the reception area. I went up to our floor and sat on the cart outside our room and waited for at least 15-20 minutes! This is ridiculous! Come to find out, she didn't even check our room number. She went on the second floor and had the key reprogrammed on the wrong room! She came upstairs, and unlocked our room and didn't even apologize! I am very disappointed with the hotel staff that morning. Customer Service is terrible, and we felt like for the amount we paid at that hotel in Sheboygan, it's not worth it. I will not recommend this hotel in Sheboygan, WI.

Good hotel for location and room sizes, but it's a 3-star hotel and price so don't expect 4/5 star cleanliness and staf We stayed here for a night after exploring Sheboygan. It was great for a family one-night stay if you want a minimal, above-average hotel that is spacious to spread out and meets your family needs this is the spot. They had a decent breakfast for the hotel, waffles are the bomb! I would highly recommend that management take some time or a team to just deep clean the rooms and spaces. Like scrub the various stains, and wear on doorframes, and walls at least once a month if possible. That would make this hotel very clean, versus just being clean. Greats: spacious and huge hotel rooms for families! Location, 3 minutes from the Deland Park/beach and downtown, riverfront neighborhood. It’s so central and walkable. Good: beds and pillows were comfy, coffee and various teas all day, and the soap and shampoo brand they have smells great and is different than what you normally see. Bad: various random stains on sheets, and towels which no one wants to see. Charge for toothbrushes and toothpaste, which are nothing special. I would stay again with my young family of 5 if in the area again.

Short trip This is my second time staying in a couple months. Clean, welcoming hotel. Easy check in and out. Close to Lake Michigan. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept very well. And the staff were very nice. My next trip to Sheboygan I were stay there again.

Quiet stay Weekday visit was very quiet. Convenient downtown location. Facility was in good condition and the breakfast was a bit more upscale. We inquired about staying over another night but Friday was fully booked!

No room cleaning service, no fresh towels daily not even hangers are in the room. The staff and management are as dumpy Beware, checked in late as my flight was delayed in Chicago, was exhausted. Arrived to hotel front desk employee was arguing with her ride in the parking lot. A lot of cursing and profanity. In which they were doing drugs in the parking lot in the car. Checked in approximately 11pm. Appearance and condition is very dated from the 80’s. Woke up from a smelly room and my allergies were full on attack. This hotel has no room cleaning service no towel service and clearly no customer service. Management and employees is what makes this place a dump. I checked out first thing in the morning within seven hours of arrival as I was dead tired and refused a refund. I still checked out as the place is a dump. I was charged a 48 hour stay even though I was there only seven hours reason for my check out is there’s nothing Grand about this place
