Great place The service was great and staff couldn't have been more friendly, the location is great and the indoor pool was just the right temp. I leave for work at 4am and the night person open the refrigerator for me so I could get some milk for my cereal, just all around nice place.

Horrible Accommodations This hotel is disgusting. Filthy carpets, broken furniture and the room smelled horrible. The elevator door just about knocked me over, it started closing very fast before I could exit. Left a huge bruise on my arm. This first room they gave us smelled so bad we asked to be given a different room.. The next room our key card wouldn’t unlock the door and the third room also smelled extremely musty, but we were exhausted and the room was non refundable. DO NOT STAY HERE, pay the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Lesson Learned - Always check the reviews Attention Employment Recruiters: If you’re in need of a front desk clerk who is borderline hostile to guests, Robin/Robyn is your man/woman (due to Choice Hotel’s diversity, equity and inclusion policy, I wouldn’t dare risk misgendering them (also, it was really hard to tell). Robin/Robyn is excellent at condescension and death stares as well as next level impatience. Their particular talent, however, is to expertly switch gears to “nice as pie” to whomever he/she feels worthy. Fun times with Robin/Robyn. As for management, I can’t recommend Shivani Patel highly enough…oops, that should have read “I literally can’t recommend” this person. A quick perusing of the reviews would indicate that any attempts to challenge the status quo goes unheeded by management. Travelers: The above notwithstanding, Comfort Inn Shreveport I-49 is conveniently located. And definitely consider staying here if: you like crunchy carpets, sticky surfaces, pillows with broken metal zippers that will shiv you, faulty lamp outlets and general disrepair. Another possible adventure that could await you is being awoken by door pounding at 1:30 in the morning as happened to a guest on our floor. Oh, those wacky booking mix ups. Almost forgot the breakfast! I mean, forget the breakfast. But take heart, Choice Hotels is on it with their commitment to provide cage-free eggs by 2025. It’s the little things, y’all.

Hotel is in bad repair. Not worth the money. This hotel is in a great location. We regularly stay here when we are in Shreveport visiting family. But this stay was a real disappointment. Our room had one working electrical outlet. The coffee maker, fridge and microwave didn’t work. The hairdryer in the bathroom didn’t even have a plug, the cord had been cut in two and the bathtub has rust stains on the bottom There was a hole in the closet door and on the back side of the same door the veneer was barely hanging on the frame. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the housekeeping staff and the staff that runs the breakfast buffet do such a great job. We were only there one night and arrived at our room late-around 10:30 pm. Had we needed to stay more nights we would have found a different hotel to move to. Upon check out we told the lady at the front desk about the condition of the room. She could not have cared less and said there was nothing she could do. We placed a call to the manager ,or maybe she is the owner, she too was not at all concerned that she had charged $127 for a room that was in such bad condition. We have been staying at this hotel a few times a year for many years but this will be the last time.

Terrible Just checked in about an hour ago. This room is disgusting. The smell is stale smoke and mildew. The only reason I am not leaving is because of the rain and fog. Otherwise I would have left immediately. I do not expect to breathe very good tomorrow after having to inhale these smells, but it is better than a traffic accident due to weather conditions. I soent $142.00 for a totally junk room. Couch filthy, lock broken on the door.
