Exceptional for the price! i've stayed at the Rodeway Inn several times in Sierra Vista. The rooms are clean, and very basic. This is what you would expect for the price which is generally under $75 a night. The staff is very friendly and competent. The self service laundry is well-maintained and I have no trouble getting two loads done in a short period of time.

Would I stay here again? This was a fine place to stay. It was close enough to the places we wanted to go, and yet tucked away off the main roads to avoid the noise. The room was nice with both fridge and microwave. The room was clean. The staff were friendly. It passed the "Would I stay here again?" test.

Making a rough stay a better stay My husband and I recently spent a night at Roadway Inn. The room was quite comfortable, bed was also quite comfortable. I am giving 10 stars (1000 stars?) to the daytime office manager? (Didn’t get her name unfortunately) who went out of her way to help me and my husband be comfortable even though my husband had just suffered a broken arm the night before. Also thank you to her helper who was willing to help lift my husband although he fortunately was able to lift himself. Thank you so much for your kindness and help.

Not Quite What it Used to Be This was our third time coming back to this hotel, and we hadn't been here since Covid. They are doing what they can with adjusted breakfast, and hand sanitizer in the lobby. The room was a good size, and recently renovated but the floor had buckled in several places and was a trip hazard. The foam mattresses were new, with upgraded bed coverings, but the frames were noisy when you moved. , The room just seemed old and tired. There was a fridge and microwave, and a good TV package. The walls were thin and we could hear people talking. We turned on the bathroom fan to drown them out to be able to sleep. Also the music from the pool area is quite loud, and could probably be heard in rooms closest to there. Breakfast has been adjusted due to Covid with pre-packaged Jimmy Dean egg and sausage croissants, yogurt, and oatmeal packs, and bottled water. There seemed to be "down on their luck" people living at this hotel too, some with total disregard for parking or respect for other guests. Watched one woman consistently park taking up two spots, and a male companion with a ridiculously loud motorcycle backed into a spot right in front of the rooms, start it up and rev it to off-the-charts decibel levels. Later he had a revving contest with another deafening truck. And of course the motorcycle started up at 6am probably waking everyone on that side of the hotel! Not impressed at all. Probably won't be back to this hotel, especially since it seems to be a tenement house, instead of a hotel.

Not what I expected based on the reviews I had read prior to my visit. Definitely a very Old motel some remodeling done. Walls painted some floors had old carpet pulled up in some rooms which helped with odors. The smell of smoke just smeed to be everywhere, especially just outside the rooms. In fact the room we were assigned first, we asked to moved because of the smoke odor. Ceiling had patch holes in our room. The furniture was well used, marked up. The couch that showed up in pictures was not there...The bed was terribly noisy, as just sitting on it made it squeak woke me up everytime my husband or I moved. The pictures on the internet sure were a lot more bright and cheery than the real thing. I believe the cleaning is adequate but not deep clean. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. I'm sure I would not have chosen if I hadn't seen the award info and thought that most people had it 4.5 out of 5 on reviews.
