Negative experiences throughout, finally good customer service at the end UPDATED as of 7/27/2021 I'm not going to sugar coat it, we did not have a good experience. You'll see the issues listed below. However, after a few days of back and forth (likely because of the weekend), I received a call from the general manager. He was incredibly respectful, understanding, and earnest in his responses. I so wish he had been the staff member handling this all along. The general manager apologized for the string of issues and less-than-ideal staff interactions. We saved up for this one night stay ($500/night all said and done through AirBnB) and understandably were upset, disappointed, and ultimately angered by the chain of events that ensued. HOWEVER, we after finally receiving a call from the general manager, we're walking away from this experience just very disappointed rather than highly insulted. The GM kindly stated that he "wanted to make this right" beyond the full refund - appreciating the upsetting saga we we were subjected to. We came to a resolution and I feel somewhat more confident that there will be at least a solid effort to resolve the issues in a timely manner. Outline of concerns: 1) Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed a layer of sand on the tile floor. Soon thereafter, for obvious reasons, my foot slipped and I fell hard on the tile floor. I am young enough, but did suffer a painful backside throughout my stay. 2) While using the bed as leverage to pull myself back up, I was shocked at the amount of food scraps, wrappers, clothing, and other types of trash left under the bed from the previous guest. The floors certainly were not swept and I'm convinced the cleaning crew made no attempt to even check under the bed. 3) After trying to shake off these issues, we went to the beach. When we returned, there were cockroaches throughout the unit. This is the South, so cockroaches aren't exactly scarce, but the maintenance crew MUST increase their pest control regimen. I slept outside on our private porch, because I was just so turned off by the cockroaches and myriad unfortunate experiences we had. PROs: 1) the room's décor was ADORABLE! I even took photos of the curtains because I want them for my home. 2) Proximity to the beach is unmatched. 3) Restaurants/Bars are all in walking distance

Great Place and Staff! Our suite was perfect! We loved the decor and it was close to the beach and the village, which had awesome restaurants! Daniel Wachob willingly went out of his way to help us with a need while we were there! Very commendable!

Great location, Not clean The location of this place was amazing! Right next to beach access and next to the village - all within walking distance. It was great! The room was cute. I loved the decor and the idea of having a little condo while we were there with a one year old. Loved having the ability to get beach chairs, towels and toys while we were there too. The pool was also nice. The girl at the front desk was not very friendly and gave me a weird look when I asked for daily housekeeping (we had a baby with dirty diapers so it just made sense for us). My friend who also stayed there said she got a dirty look when she said the same thing. Don’t offer it if it’s such an inconvenience to your team. I was looking for a place with a larger bedroom to fit our pack-n-play so we chose Seagull Landing. It was a little run down and needed some maintenance. I am super picky about cleanliness and I just didn’t feel like this place was clean at all. We paid extra for the covid cleaning too which I thought was strange to have to pay extra for something that should already be being done during a pandemic. There was a lot of dust on surfaces throughout and the furniture was not clean. I saw another post about stains on the couch in our unit and that was still there and grossed me out. I don’t think the bedspread is cleaned either. The floors just get covered in sand and all I wanted was a little welcome mat to catch the sand. My baby was walking around when we got there and her feet were immediately black and covered in dirt. It was nasty to deal with that the whole time. I hate the feeling of dirt stuck to my feet! I felt like I was constantly sweeping. We also found a large piece of broken glass under the table where our baby was so that was concerning and I’m glad she didn’t step on it. The shower/bathtub was disgusting - mold along the caulking and the tub was so gross looking I wouldn’t bathe my baby in there. I just don’t trust that the place gets adequately cleaned between guests after what we found. It wasn’t very relaxing to me because of the lack of cleanliness. The daily housekeeping was basically just pulling the bedspread up over the sheets, taking out the trash, and putting dirty dishes away. One day the maid took all of the dirty dishes out of the dishwasher and placed them back, I guess thinking the dishwasher was clean which it was clearly not. Made me wonder if they put dirty dishes back between guests! I don’t think I’d stay here again but I’m sure the location will always help them stay in business.
