Fine I usually get the one bedroom suite and was pleasantly surprised at the size of this one which was larger than the others I have been at. The lady at the breakfast area was very good as was the front desk staff. The room's carpeting needs to be replaced in spots. I would certainly stay again.

Could be lots better I'm not a big traveler but have stayed in this location a bunch of times & other Marriott's in the DC area. Being a Marriott member I have always been greeted with a thank you for returning, etc. except for the other day. I was just checked in, no welcome & given a first floor room. Ok, I figured it would be all right. However, the room was located a couple feet from cars parked right in front & looking out on very, very busy RT 29 which is noisy. There were sliding glass doors with no patio - just a bunch of big rocks in front of it. I asked for a different room & was given one on the second floor. The room was clean, very quiet & the bedding is lovely. However the cover on the spring was a complete mess. The edging of it was all torn & hung down over the springs. It was ugly. I asked the maid for lotion - having forget to bring some. She didn't have any. I asked the front desk & never got any either. It is no nice to get small toiletries to use when traveling , but don't expect any at this hotel. There are some plastic bottles bolted to the shower which are to be used by any & all. Just shampoo, conditioner & body wash. I also had to ask for a little bar of soap for the bathroom sink. Poor service! Plastic bags were hung on the waste baskets & not inserted. Not my job to do this. Again - poor or indifferent service. I will think twice about hotels when in the area - which won't be long too.

During pandemic note lapse of most services Clean room and common areas made this a reasonable choice during the COVID-19 pandemic. What disappointed is that the restaurant and bar in the hotel were completely closed—even though they were mentioned on the website and in most 3rd-party listings. Marriott should have least programmed a pop-up to warn us when reserving (which we did via Marriott's website). Housekeeping service was also dramatically cut--they handed out a photocopied letter to guests saying cleaning only happens once per week. I appreciate the effort they made to hygiene and disease prevention (including all staff wearing masks at all times), but service could have been better. Although this is a good location for exploring suburban D.C. by car, there are almost no restaurants within walking distance.

I must've got the bad room? Had to check if smoking pot was legal in Maryland due to getting off the elevator and being hit by the smell. Of the stations on the television, 13 they offer did not come in (just says not connected). Called front desk to see what was up (I love my HGTV and it as well as Food Network, Cable news stations, etc.) and they reset it to no avail. Just not impressed with location - stains on carpet, stains on wall paper in bathroom and around sink. I am a Marriott snob and this doesn't measure up to their standards.

Maryland Stay Nice hotel and clean. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Easy access to highways to get to where you needed to go. Quick service in the bar/restaurant area and happy to assist in any way that they can. I was only there for one night, but I was pleased with my stay and would stay again if needed.
