Super 8 by Wyndham Slidell

A bed for a very weary traveler Cheap, but the desk clerk was rude upon my arrival and treated me like I was a nuisance. There was no hot water available at 6:00 AM.

Clean no frills motel in Slidell This is a nice and clean no frills motel. We don't do anything but sleep at a hotel anyway so why waste money on the high priced ones in New Orleans? A word of caution...this property has softened water and those government mandated low flow shower heads. I couldn't get the shampoo and conditioner rinsed out of my hair without just sticking my head under the tub faucet for full flow water. A minor inconvenience to me. I have softened water at home but my shower has full flow. If you have thick or long hair be prepared. They serve continental breakfast. It was good.

Surprisingly Extremely Satisfied For the price, the property exceeded expectations. I was please with the ease of check-in and the cleanliness of the room. Only down side was hot water was pretty much non-existent. And the know on the air-conditioning was broken.

Nice option in Slidell This is a clean and nicely maintained Super 8 in Slidell. The beds and pillow were very comfortable. Someone mentioned in an earlier review problems with hot water but we had no problem at all and the shower had hot water. The breakfast has limited options but there is a Waffle House right next door.

Ice cold shower. A memory that will last forever. Not even a drop of hot water for my shower at 6:30 am. I complained only to be told that I must call and have a maintenance person inspect the problem. Um, no. I had to be on the road at 7am. I splashed myself in the shower with cold water and went about my morning. The blow dryer did not work. The beds are full sized, not queen like on the reservation page. I’m disappointed that the manager was quick to start arguing in a loud voice. Not even an apology. Just said we needed to report. Yes, I’m going to put my clothes back on after getting wet, make a phone call, and wait an hour for maintenance to fix the issue. And does maintenance even work at 6:30 am on a Sunday? Indian management sure is different. He could have just taken 10% off the night or something. I would have been happy. I think the problem was that another room used the hot water. I could hear the shower running before I took mine. Still, I have never had this problem before. Never. It should never happen. Seriously, management could have just apologized. Things break. I can understand. Tip: Wear shoes or flip flops. My white socks got black walking in the room. This is the worst review I have written in a decade. It saddens to do this.
