Homewood Suites by Hilton Cleveland-Solon

Most enjoyable 6 month vacation in Solon, Ohio After a very messy/bad experience at my house due to a sewer backup on Aurora Rd/Solon....the Solon Hilton staff became like family to us for a period of six months from December 2023 to June 2024. Trenise and her assistant manager, Veronica, Laura and her housekeeping staff were wonderful....wish I could hire them now that Im back home after ServePro fixed my house. Chief Engineer George, Jorge and Johnny were wonderful fixing stuff that broke....mostly light bulbs that burned out...thank you one and all for a most enjoyable vacation. Suzi&Tim Room 416

Stay away Let me first say the staff we interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful. But that's about the only good thing here. The bed linens were thin, and the bottom sheet kept coming off the bed; it was probably the wrong size. Bed was poorly made up; the pillows were small; the pillowcases were much too big for them. The entire place smelled awful, like leftover food or worse. The carpeted areas need cleaning/replaced. The floors were sticky. Outside of refrigerator was quite dirty; (inside was cleaned). Flat top range burners were also not clean. I did not complain about these as we were not using the kitchen area. Parking is not fun. Front area only has a few spots which were taken, and the spots along the back are tight and hard to get in and out of. Right along a wooded area. not the safest feeling back there! Just in general, the place has obviously not been well kept up. Yes, the price was reasonable, which should have tipped me off. Breakfast: Stale breads and bagels, with no serving utensils for them so you just had to put your hand in the serving container to get what you wanted. No hot food at all; just breads, yogurt, cereal. The coffee: the first urn I tried must have been on the last cup, as a thick black liquid came out, with grounds as well. So, I tried another urn. It was lukewarm coffee and tasted awful. We have stayed at other Homewood Suites, and they are much better than this. This was quite a disappointment.

Full-sized fridges!! Just beyond the outskirts of Cleveland is this pleasant hotel on a quiet street. With a full kitchen including a standard-sized fridge and large rooms, close to a handful of restaurants and President Garfield's birthplace and grave, this is a lovely accommodation at a reasonable price.

Do not stay here Really wish I would have checked reviews first. This is one of the most DISGUSTING hotels I’ve ever been in. Furniture is visibly dirty, filth in the tub, items are worn and the room has a strong odor. If I didn’t check in close to midnight I would have demanded a refund and gone to another hotel.

Smelly and dirty Room smelled like vomit and sweat - slept with my clothes on - DO NOT STAY HERE- I hate to complain on social media sites but trying to warn people - this place needs a thorough cleaning and renovation- I dropped water in the floor after my shower and I used the towel to wipe it up and my white towel was BROWN after wiping up floor- it has not been cleaned well _
