The Landsby

Choose The Landsby! We were very pleased with our stay at the Landsby and had a positive impact on our overall experience in Solvang. From check in to checkout we did not drive once, the location is so walkable! The room we stayed in was private, large, beautifully decorated, and clean. We stayed with our dog and access was easy. The room was quiet. Will for sure stay at the Landsby again!

Great hotel The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The decor is fabulous. The staff is professional and friendly. We will be back.

The Place to be in Central Solvang Great location near the end of Copenhagen Street. Accommodations are modern with a colonial flair. Restaurant is a must for dinner. Wish it was open for breakfast. Just steps from Olsen’s Danish Bakery (another must), restaurants, shops, the theater, and tours.

Wonderful Stay Marred by Power Outage and Poor Communication We recently stayed at The Landsby and had a mostly wonderful experience, thanks to the smooth check-in process and the warm welcome we received. The room was beautifully prepared with a lovely petal arrangement and a thoughtful letter from the staff. Our dining experience at Mad & Vin was exceptional, with each dish surpassing our expectations. We were still raving about the meal even after we returned home! However, our stay was marred by a significant issue. Around 8:30 AM, the entire town experienced a power outage. While I understand that such events are beyond the hotel's control, the lack of communication from the staff during this time was quite problematic. Despite attempting to use the virtual assistant, we struggled to obtain clear and timely information about the outage and whether the hotel had a backup generator. This lack of information made navigating from the second floor to the lobby particularly challenging, especially with a newborn. The room became uncomfortably warm, and we were unable to prepare formula for our child. The most troubling aspect was the departure experience. The absence of an elevator during the power outage made the checkout process exceedingly difficult. We had to carry our luggage and stroller down the stairs and repark our car, which was not only inconvenient but also exhausting. These difficulties highlighted the need for improved communication protocols and infrastructure to better handle such unforeseen circumstances. Despite this setback, I still believe The Landsby offers a top-notch experience and would recommend it to friends and family. I urge the management to improve communication protocols and infrastructure to better handle similar situations in the future. Thank you for your attention to these matters, and I look forward to seeing how The Landsby continues to excel.

Very nice refresh / update to the hotel Stayed over the weekend to ride bikes around the town. Great refresh, nice design, loved the wallpaper in he hallways. I recommend a room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. It can get a bit noisy due to conversations around the firepit and with the live music in the weekend afternoons but otherwise very pleasant, clean large room. Try and get Room 48 at the end of the hall.
