Visit to South Hill VA Highly recommend this Hampton Inn, great service, clean, grounds well maintained and good breakfast. Upon arrival we were met by a wonderful staff member this woman made us feel at home and answered all questions. Pleased to find fresh fruit available, room was immaculate. Great visit!

Typical chain standard but not more Right at I 85 offers this Hampton Inn everything what you’d expect from the chain. Bed, interior in the room and the free breakfast buffet is average, but the water pressure in the sink is too low, and the price per night for a standard room is too high (=$160). Not sure if I’d stay there again?

Hello South Hill Stopped here for a night, good location right off the Interstate and the price was very good. Although as we booked late we didn't get a king room and had to settle for a double queen. The room was as comfortable and clean as one expects from this chain (which is great and this why we use them so much). Short drive into town to explore. Nothing really stood out one way or another just a regular stay, so for that an average rating. Would stay here again.

Overnight stay. Clean but room had lots of issues. Room was big and clean. However, frig was broken, the door would only shut if you slammed it shut(ok for me but sure those around me didn’t like it), one overhead light was constantly flickering, and the ice from the ice machine had black specks in all the cubes.

LEAVE ALL THE LIGHTS ON-IT'S STILL NOT AS GOOD AS A MOTEL 6 We stayed at this motel on 9-7-2023. The motel is raten a 3 star, priced as a 4 star an it' condition is 2 star. We had a handicap room. It was on poor condition; the furniturd was in very poor shape, the bath room tile was slick and dangerous when wet, door frames were rusted and the hand shower holder bracket didn't exist. We wondered is the handicap ration mean "serve handicap people" or "Create handicap people. Breakfast was luke warn and nothing special. However there were no plastic knives because "the truck didn't bring them" We have stayed in over 100 Hampton Inns over the past 45+ years. This is by far the worst managed/maintained facility we have ever stayed in. It is rated 3, ppliced like a 4 and is a very poor 2. The only positive is tge staff
