This is a Clarion, but a really nice one O.K., people. Clarion is not a luxury brand. But this Clarion is a nice one. My son and I spent three nights at this hotel. We were in Chicago for a paintball tournament. The parking lot is newly paved, and the lights were bright and well-placed. The lobby is nicely decorated, and the furnishings appear new. There's a restaurant, but we didn't eat there and the only thing I heard about it is that they serve breakfast. The bed was amazing, like other reviewers have mentioned. The mattress was just right, the sheets were soft and the pillows were clean and plump. The bathroom fixtures were a little run-down, but it was clean. The night manager won't win any congeniality awards, but he got the job done (except when our toilet clogged and he handed me a plunger and told me to return it once I was done with it). The day staff members were pleasant. If I need a budget hotel, we'll definitely consider this one again. But pool was undergoing maintenance when we were there, but we didn't ask when it might open again.

At Least the Bed was Comfortable Enough. I was aware this property was being remodeled. In my mind, that means the owner attempts to add extra value elsewhere to compensate the distraction. They did not. The phone was broken, couldn't call front desk. Desk lamp had only one of two bulbs but was SO faint, I fell asleep not realizing it was on. I had walked to the front desk to request two bulbs I would happily replace. She had no access to them. "Breakfast" was 3 packaged pastries and a small OJ. If all you want is carbs and sugar then you'll love it. Needed to sleep in because of a late night. Couldn't because of power drills, skill saws, and hammering going on in the room RIGHT NEXT DOOR!

Very Clean The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. But half of the building is under renovation. And the hotel has a bagged breakfast from 6-9 am. We left around 5 am, the night shift check-in staff told us we could get a bag from the Morning Shift worker, but he didn't.

Very pleasurable stay at this Clarion hotel This a very clean and quiet hotel. The lobby and dining room are very spacious. Front staff friendly and cares about guests. Breakfast was excellent for a few dollars. Rooms are a little smaller than average. I've spent 5 nights in 2 visits and will stay again. (my client is in south Cook county)

Beds were too small. It was an o.k. place. It was clean. That's the main thing. The toilet was one of those really short ones and the bathroom door hit the toilet and wouldn't open all the way. The double beds were not queens. They weren't even full. Barely wider than a twin, it was rough sleeping with kids. One of the beds was broke and leaned a little. We dropped an ink pen and looked under the bed for it. Wasn't clean under there. Skittles and paper and who knows. We didn't explore. Got our pen and left it alone. No breakfast or pool. City still concerned about Covid. Can't blame the hotel.
