Eek, a BED BUG! First impressions of this hotel were pretty good. My husband checked the beds for bedbugs as he always does before we started bringing our luggage into the room. Everything looked very clean and he was satisfied so he began to unload the car while I began getting our young children ready for bed. Before turning on the water to run a bath, I noticed something in the tub so I picked it up with a tissue. It was a BED BUG. Alive and well. Trying not to panic, my husband put it in a cup and brought it down to reception. They apologized, gave us a new room and that was pretty much the end of it. Housekeeping stopped by the next day to apologize, but that was it. Finding a bed a live bed bug is no joke and I certainly would have expected some sort of acknowledgement from management. There was not even an offer of any sort of compensation, no dinner coupon. NOTHING. At checkout my husband said he felt we should be compensated for our troubles and they did give us a small refund. But really, we should not have had to ask. We tried to make the best of our stay, but getting past the bed bug and the worry about bringing anything home with us was difficult. Once we did get home, we spent days cleaning everything. I mean, everything. We emptied out the entire car, including car seats and slowly heat treated it all. We had to purchase a heat box designed to kill bed bugs and anything that couldn't take the heat was thrown away. So people, please, always check for bed bugs. Don't trust any hotel to be bug-free, not even the Hilton.

Lake Tahoe vacation club by Hilton Timeshare hook staff and event promoters were less than truthful and follow through was not good. Location is stellar and the rooms are in excellent condition and very clean. Housekeeping was hardly ever seen or noticed but amenities were sufficient.

Timeshare hard sell It’s in a great location. Getting to Heavenly to ski is easy. That’s the only real positive I can think of. The biggest negative is that this isn’t really a normal hotel, it’s part of a timeshare and you won’t be able to forget that. Right from check in the hard selling starts. The salespeople were aggressive, creepy, and really tried to complicate our stay. The resort charges a lot of “resort fees” which add up quick, so make sure you are factoring that in. They may offer to give you some sort of coupon to offset those if, no surprise here, you agree to listen to a timeshare pitch for 90+ minutes. Once we made it clear we weren’t interested in a timeshare (if you are you may want to research the downsides online) the tone changed and it became even more aggressive. I can’t even imagine what it would have been like if we attended the pitch. Setting aside the uncomfortable hard selling, this isn’t a nice hotel. The room we stayed in was small (we tried to pay to upgrade to a nicer room, but apparently that option only existed if, yet again, we went down the timeshare sales path). Everything was dated, heavily used, and drab. It had a very middle of nowhere motel vibe. Things seemed clean although having industrial rodent bait stations close to our room, and all over the exterior, doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence about the cleanliness. We booked another hotel after two nights and ate the cost for this “hotel” for rest of the stay — that probably says more than anything else.

Nice facility and great units however not they have parking and resort daily fees. The rooms are nice however the per night fees for parking and resort fees seems excessive.Hot tub was nice however it was crowded. Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Large TV and nice fireplace. Kitchen is small but adequate.
