I'll go back! The front desk staff could not do enough for me. They made me feel as if I was the only guest and like I was at a 5-star hotel. They were helpful with local information and hours of operation about restaurants in the area. I'll go back. Good location too.

A little run down but very clean and surprisingly good value for the area Okay, let's get this out of the way first... the Bay Area is expensive and always will be, and South San Francisco is no exception. Finding a good value for a hotel is not easy - quite often you either pay a wad of money to stay someplace remotely decent and safe or try to save a few bucks to stay in a total dump while jeopardizing your safety as well. This place, however, checks all the necessary boxes for a safe and pleasant stay when you just need a place to sleep for a night or two and not much more (great for airport-related stays). This place with its sleek vinyl floors is impeccably clean and the beds are comfortable enough. I did not feel unsafe at all although I wouldn't wander around the neighborhood alone at night, nor should you. The place has a decent breakfast included although it would be nice if they had some yogurt or fruit, a bit heavy on the carbs (waffles and bagels are plentiful, there's also oatmeal). During the day you can easily walk or drive to a number of restaurants - Popeyes, TOGOs and Denny's in easy walking distance, a whole cluster of great restaurants and Starbucks a bit further in the "downtown" part of South San Francisco, such as it is. The place has a free airport shuttle although the hours it is offered are limited (but such is the case for most of the other hotels in the area). Employees were also very friendly and helpful. Okay, here's the negative part - the furniture in the rooms and common areas is for the most part, pretty beat up and old. There's a bit of a run down look to the place. But they keep things very clean and that's what matters the most to me, and the bathroom and other appliances seem to be up to date. I don't care so much about the furniture when I'm only there to sleep before or after a long airplane flight and don't plan on sticking around long. Just needs to hold together. I also didn't care for being near the housekeeping offices and hearing housekeeping coming in during the early morning hours and chatting kind of loudly, opening and closing their office door repeatedly while I am still sleeping but this wouldn't be a problem in most of the other rooms. Here's the deal around here - you want something nicer, you will pay quite a premium in this area over what this place charges. You think this place costs too much for what it is and want to pay even less, you will stay in a total dump where your health and safety will be at risk. This place fits the bill for your basic, most important needs and not much more, and you will get a good night's sleep at the right price, and move on with life as normal. You want a more cushy experience, go elsewhere and be prepared to break the bank.

Just ok Overall a little dingy. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable, but I was really tired. The rooms were dark, the hallways were cramped and also dingy. Check in and out was fast and easy and there is a free shuttle to the airport which is a bonus.

INFORM THE FRONT DESK TO NOT SAY YOUR ROOM NUMBER OUT LOUD AND IF THEY DO, REQUEST FOR A NEW ROOM We arrived at around 9:30pm and there was a gentleman sitting by the lobby who is obviously a guest and the lobby of this hotel is tiny so any conversations between you and the front desk staff is within earshot and my biggest pet peeve is when the front desk announces your hotel room number out loud and she did. For me, though I was traveling with my husband but still I felt unsafe let alone if there are a solo female traveler or a group of girls traveling and some random guys sitting in the lobby hearing their room number. THEY SHOULD NOT SAY THE HOTEL ROOM NUMBER OUT LOUD. Other than that, the bed is not comfortable, it makes noises by a small ounce of movement. Breakfast was ok. Basic but not too bad.

Proximity to airport is great We chose this hotel for these reasons 1) proximity to the airport 2) within reasonable price point 3) shuttle availability The experience was good, had 2 good nights' sleep, even though it was near the airport, it was quiet. Everyone we met was helpful. It's a good budget hotel.
