Good hotel and location Whenever I come to the area to visit friends and family, I always stay here. The hotel has immaculate and well appointed common areas and guest rooms, friendly and helpful staff, a more than adequate complimentary breakfast buffet and is located near shopping, restaurants and the university.

Disappointed I would have put a 5 star, but our second day made it less. We left to do some errands for a few hours and when we came back, our room key did not work. We called the front desk, and someone came up to let us in. We noticed nothing was done. I asked if we had housekeeping and he said that they usually ask if we want it. We walked down the hall where another room was being cleaned and got some towels. Then, I realized that we didn't have any coffee or cups. I grabbed some of them also. Bed wasn't made, wastebaskets still full It was obviously like we weren't staying another night. The housekeeper didn't even have our room on her list. I would think for $300+ a night, we would have a better experience.

Nice Comfortable Hotel Very comfortable rooms with updated furniture. Easy checkin and front desk staff very friendly and professional. Breakfasts used to be better with more hot choices than just scrambled eggs every day. Still it is a great value for this area

Clean The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless! Also, the front desk was very nice with a smile. They also had a nice little cozy outdoor area where we sat for a little while.

Convenient location off rt 347 just past smith haven mall. The price is good for what you get. Clean rooms easy check in. Great location close to Stonybrook university and the smith haven mall. Lots of shops and restaurants/bars nearby. Gas station next door. The Holiday inn is in a quiet area.
