Holiday Inn Express Spokane-Valley by IHG

Super Staff and Clean Hotel Excellent hotel! We really enjoyed our 12 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff was wonderful! The hotel was clean, great location, and on the 4th floor it was quiet. The staff were top notch in making our long stay feel very welcoming and comfortable. From the front desk clerks Jacob and Jessica to the food service staff, Lori, Zachary, and Dawn, they all were outstanding in their helpfulness and care in ensuring we had a pleasant stay. We highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express!!

Typical HI Express; checks all the boxes; would recommend There is nothing particularly outstanding nor negative about this property. It is pretty much a "standard issue" Holiday Inn Express . . .which is to say, it is a very pleasant, comfortable, safe, quiet place to spend a night. That is to say, the property checks all the most important boxes that you would reasonably expect a hotel to offer. Complimentary milk and cookies in the evening were a nice touch (especially the milk part of it; some hotels give our cookies, but cookies without milk is like . . . well, make your own analogy). The complimentary breakfast was nice, with some good hot food offerings. Oatmeal is available for the healthy-minded. And of course there are those decadent HI Express cinnamon rolls. The front desk personnel were competent, pleasant, cheerful, and conversational. I did not have a chance to use them, but the fitness room and the pool seemed inviting. There was also self-service guest laundry, a nice offering that I did not need to use this time but it's a nice option to have for those on extended trips. One other minor point worth mentioning: so may low-rise hotels give you a choice of a slow-moving single elevator in the middle, or stairways way out at the far ends of the hotel. Well, this property has a stairwell serving all four floors near the middle of the hotel, as well as another stairway going from the lobby to the second floor. Those are nice touches; makes it much more convenient to move between the room and the ground floor without having to wait for that one elevator that moves at glacial speed. I should add that I appreciate that this hotel allows pets; my pooch had a very comfortable sleep. I'm not too keen on the $25 pet fee (what exactly is that for?); if there is a concern that the pet might damage the room, then why not require a deposit that is refunded if there is no damage? FYI when I bring my pet to a hotel, I always bring my own fleece blanket and place it atop the bed on which my dog sleeps. One minor nit is that the in-room mini-fridge does not have a freezer compartment. I have a couple of ice blocks to keep my cooler cool while on a road trip; it would have been nice to be able to re-freeze them. Fortunately, however, the hotel has an ice machine. A couple of ziplock bags filled with ice can accomplish the same objective, but it's a little neater and cleaner and more effective to have frozen ice blocks. Access to/from I-90 is quick and easy. Overall, I'd recommend this property and would return to it if I returned to the area.

Excellent! This is a very nice, clean, comfortable hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It is located very conveniently near the freeway and close to both Spokane and Spokane Valley. There was an outstanding hot break buffet every morning. On Friday night, they provided fresh baked cookies and milk. There’s an indoor pool & spa & a gym. It was a very nice place to stay and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!

Wonderful place to stay!! We had a wonderful experience at this Holiday Inn Express from the friendly greetings, to the clean, modern rooms, to the complete breakfast, to the free beer/wine and appetizers (Mon-Wed), to the fresh baked cookies, to the pool and spa open until 11. They really went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay!!

The only Place to Stay in the Spokane Valley This is a gem in the Holiday Inn crown. Christiana made check-in pleasurable and smooth. The room was spotless, modern, and everything works. HVAC A/C was very quiet and efficient. Kelly was Great cookie chef and fun to talk with. The 1900 cookie call was was a hit with the kids and gave them just enough energy to play for a while in the awesome pool. At breakfast, Jennifer met us with a sparkling smile and a wonderful meal. Dawn and Jennifer kept everything stocked and bussed tables immediately to keep th morning rush on pace. Chandler, on morning desk, was fun and knowledgeable about the area. We were all pleased with the service, friendliness, and quality of our stay. Thank you!!
