Location, but nothing else Other than being close to the Knitting Factory, this place has nothing going for it. The very small rooms wrap around the small dirty parking lot which is dominated by a huge vent from the burger place -making everything smell like cooking grease. At check-in, I asked for a coffee pot. The clerk said they did not offer pots until I showed her the sign on the counter saying they did. She admitted she didn't know where they were. She found one, but they did not have filters or coffee -just the pot. The bathroom swarmed with ants. We cancelled our return reservation, which they had under the name of our town, rather than my last name.

Trying to be a swanky downtown hotel but misses the mark We stayed three nights at the Hotel Ruby and it was probably the only low point of my trip to Spokane. First - the positives: good price, free bikes, great water pressure, loved the hair dryer. The front desk staff was pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the linens smelled good. The negatives: It feels like a cheap motel trying to be a boutique hotel. It was noisy, there are outside corridors which feels creepy - people are walking by your window, talking, running on the walkways, which were dirty. The bathroom was cramped, the room was small, had no dresser, tiny closet, and despite asking asking three times, our room was never serviced. It was so disappointing that it was never done. We were given a buy one get one free drink coupon for the Sapphire Lounge, but no one told us they were only open on the weekend, so we didn't get to use it. Their hours are posted outside the bar, but are not accurate. All in all, I had hotel envy during our entire stay. There are many nice hotels in Spokane. I wish we'd spent a few extra bucks and stayed at one of them - it would have made our trip more enjoyable.

Great little hotel The hotel was just what was imagined. Rooms were clean and modern, decor was very soothing. Beds very comfortable. Yes you could hear the trains, but after the first few they were not as noticeable. At least we didn’t mind : ) We would definitely return.

Such a great place to relax for the night. We stayed here on our family road trip- it was the perfect place to relax for the evening. We were able to walk to dinner, the room was comfortable and accommodating, and the staff was amazing. Everyone was friendly when we checked in and very helpful explaining where to eat and things to do.

Nice clean rooms This hotel is right in the heart of old town Spokane. lt's definately a funky old style hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. We stayed there on our way to Montana and we stayed there again on the way back because we really enjoyed the lounge with really good appetizers and craft ales. The staff are incredibly friendly and the price is right. We don't know if we'll be back that way again but if we are we'll give it another go.
