Lovely hotel, best breakfast in Italy. This is a lovely old fashioned hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had in 3 weeks in Italy! Nice selection of fresh fruit, frittatas, omelets', vegetables in addition to the usual pastries, yogurt etc. It is located just on the edge of the downtown area but once we figured out where the escalator was located (about 5 min away) it's very easy to get to the center of town. If you are a breakfast lover, you can't go wrong with Hotel San Luca

They like to play AC game stay away Overall our stay wasn’t pleasant at this hotel. The rooms were old and the tiles on the floor looked dirty and scratched. The main reason we left was because this place likes to play with the AC. They turn it on and off when they feel like it from their computer. After walking around hot and humid Spoleto we came back to a sauna. We had to start the AC by the time it cool down I was animal already because I had showered for dinner and I was dripping wet. Next day I wake up because it’s so hot in the room. I call the front desk and they tell me they are cleaning the rooms and turn the AC off when they do this. Obviously they never heard of a thermostat or they just think I’m a stupid American. After they saw I was aggravated the man upfront said out AC wouldn’t be blocked any more. Americans don’t come on vacation to a 4 star hotel and have to sweat like a pig while they are getting ready. They might be use to it because they live here but that doesn’t mean the guest have to suffer. Overall I spent 450 euros for a hotel that shouldn’t even have one star.

Classic, traditional and quiet hotel Classic, traditional and quiet hotel at the downhill edge of a beautiful oldtown. It is connected to the hillside stops by a cool nearby sloped moving walkway / tunnel. Great breakfast was included. Spoleto can be crowded besides the summer festival weeks, so quiet and traditional are the keys.

EXCELLENT staff, service and location I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!
We are Americans who live in Umbria, but we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June 2024 to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. The staff surprised us with a cookie tray in our room on the day of our anniversary.
Our room was spacious, and the marble-ensconced bathroom was huge (uncommon for many Italian hotels). The breakfast (included in the price of the room) was fabulous with many sweet and savory offerings including eggs without dairy automatically added.
The hotel has a lovely courtyard with a fountain where we enjoyed our breakfast during our stay. My husband and I were in breakfast heaven every morning!
The parking was affordable, and the hotel was in an excellent location walkable to all things in Spoleto. The one MINOR negative for us was the mattress was very firm. We like a softer feel.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking in the Spoleto area.

Great stay at the San Luca Went with 2 other couples for 4 nights and it was a wonderful hotel to stay in. The rooms were spacious, the beds extremely comfortable. Each room we were given was different to the others. They all had their own unique personality
The staff were very helpful and friendly including reception and in the dining room.
The breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of variety.
While the hotel is located at the bottom of the hill from the main town, it is only a short walk to the amazing moving walkways that bring you to whichever level of the town you wish to go to.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
