Convenient spot for conventions The hotel staff is great. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is dated, and needs to be updated, but it was close to our convention site and convenience counts for something, too! The breakfast choices are good and the coffee is always hot.

Will not return. The staff was excellent. Friendly, helpful and professional. The room was ok. The sliding mirror doors were off the tracks and didn't open and close easily. Sometimes not at all. And the windows do not open even a crack, so the room would get a bit stuffy. But we will not return because they had Fox "news" playing in the dining room during breakfast. We will not patronize establishments that play that turd propaganda. Ever.

Nice Hotel The hotel was nice but nothing special. The room was clean and everything in the room worked. Checkin and checkout went smoothly. The lobby and breakfast area didn’t seem to be as vibrant as other hotels maybe because of the lighting. There is a restaurant within walking distance, Smokey Bones, where we decided to eat dinner. The food was good and the server was friendly and accommodating. My wife would say the only problem was the TV that didn’t have the Hallmark channel so we didn’t get to watch the Christmas movies. Breakfast was your normal hotel breakfast, but it appeared you were on your own if you had a problem as we didn’t see anyone working the area. Did not use any of the amenities such as pool and exercise area.

Terrible and disappointing experience with reservations We had a 4-night reservation with the Comfort Suites in Springfield and was looking forward to staying there for the first time. We decided we wanted to add one more night to our stay, which I thought would be a positive thing for the hotel and us. I called to make the change and was told I had to make a new reservation, and the new price was over $250 more. This change was made less than 48 hours after the first reservation. Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation and will find a new hotel for 5 nights. I felt cheated by Choice Hotels and was being punished for wanting to add an extra night. I don’t understand.

Nice stay! Check in was fast and easy. Great location near Fairgrounds and other Springfield locations. Breakfast was good with fresh waffles, eggs and sausage. Room was good size and clean. We had a room right by the front lobby first floor and overall it was a quiet stay even being in that location. Good restaurants around in walking distance even. I would give 5 star if the mattresses were a little softer. It was way too firm for my preference.
