Holiday Inn Express Washington DC SW - Springfield by IHG

A comfortable stay! We enjoyed a comfortable 4-night stay at this hotel. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants and parking is easy. Breakfast was great, the beds were comfortable and we will likely stay here again if in the area. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom and the fact that the pool is outside and unsecured, where anyone could walk up and get in.

Reasonably Priced Choice for Touring DC We chose this hotel for a few reasons: Close to a metro station, free shuttle to the metro, free breakfast, and very reasonable price. This was the most reasonably priced hotel we could find that was near a metro station. The shuttle service was very convenient with very little wait each time it was needed. The breakfast provided each day was good, with plenty of options (some changed daily). The lady that was in charge of breakfast was very quick to replenish breakfast items and was very courteous to the guests. The rooms look to have been somewhat recently updated, but there were some pieces of furniture that were showing a little damage. The cleaning staff did a great job of tidying up the room and replenishing towels each day (in other hotels, they sometimes don't leave enough towels but we never had this issue). The hotel is located near restaurants and shops, some of which are within walking distance. The few negatives here: -We were in a room that connected to an adjoining room. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. Very little soundproofing. -Bathrooms are very small and do not have an exhaust fan. -This hotel allows dogs, which could be an issue for those with allergies. It was not an issue for us until the room next door had guests check in with a dog that barked. Overall, this was a great stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others (but ask for a room that is not a connecting room). The price can't be beat, especially with free breakfast and a shuttle.

This place is magically satisfying!!!!! Riham and naima were welcoming and patient. Please give both of them commendation on their excellent attitude and work ethic. The cleaning staff were all smiles and committed to our comfort. Both rooms we stayed in were quiet clean and inviting. You guys made our trip worth it. They were very accommodating to our hairy dog with a smile ...

No refund, no fun. I needed to cancel the reservation a couple days ahead, because of a health problem that would not allow me to make the trip. I requested even a partial refund and they didn’t even respond until two days after saying they couldn’t refund any money. I understand that it is their business, but they certainly did not make a happy future Customer out of me.

Nice clean hotel close to DC We celebrated the new year eve with whole bunch of friends and spent the night at the hotel. The room on a high floor with views was clean and sparkling with new furniture which made the stay quite enjoyable. The mattress was firm and to my liking. The breakfast was good too. We have been there quite a few times to attend cultural events, and enjoyed the time there. It is a good idea to study the map beforehand, as google map gets confused right before the hotel entrance and suggests an unnecessary turn. Overall, Holiday Inn is a nice option in a prominent location with highways to DC nearby. The price is quite reasonable too.
