Choice Hotels should not import other brands. We selected this hotel based upon price, recommendations, & the fact they were a hotel and not a kennel (allowing pets that were not strictly under ADA guidelines). In arriving there was a sign on the counter stating they would be right back. Hearing a phone conversation in the next room it continued as a lady walked through the door and to the counter to assist me, setting the phone on the employee's work area face up with the other party of the conversation still in view. With that in play and with my limited knowledge of security threats by information captured of documents passing within view of the phone, I was concerned. With that in mind I was dubious of again presenting a credit card when Choice Hotels (with whom I booked online) had two cards on file for me. Then, when my driver's license was requested as the form of ID to be presented I balked. I explained that while I was not in the issuing state for the license, the law of that state prohibited giving the driver's license to another that was not authorized. She finally accepted my State Issued retirement ID card that bore my photo but not the additional information (DOB, etc) shown in the license. She stated she didn't care what the law was, she was doing what she was told. She then retreated back into the office area stating she would give me no more information, including her name as I requested. Shed also would not cancel my reservation when I told her I wished to cancel. Later while passing through she reappeared to work with another guest I did take photos of her for identification purposes for later correspondence with Choice Hotels. A police officer was subsequently called interviewed me. She told him she wanted me out unless I deleted the photos, even though the officer stated I had violated no laws but he would have to order me to abide by her wishes. I the deleted (in her presence) the photos on the phone of her image. The facility was old but remarkably clean for its age, and the room spacious (suite). We did find the HVAC vent to blow directly onto the bed. The 2nd floor ice machine out of order requiring a trek back to the first floor for ice. The hotel's location was about one mile from the Christmas lights began. Breakfast was hot with minimum items with a server on duty. The complimentary Wi-Fi Internet was extremely sloooow. I stayed the preceding night at another Country Inn & Suites hotel on this trip and thereafter canceled the remaining reservation under the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson name. While no intent of fraudulent gathering of identification details was indicated, just the possibility the attendant I believe was following the management's instructions. By insisting on a driver's license, what about guests that do not possess one?

The worst experience we have ever had. Rude personnel and dirty hotel I don’t write negative reviews , but this place just outdone itself. It started off with grand appearance of broken automatic doors , dirty and filthy carpet stairs , outdated and smelly interior. Then it translated to the check in area with missing front desk. So after calling and waiting for over 10 minutes, ups driver finally walked to the back and found front desk clerk name Shay I believe , finally she came out.. The rooms are not much better, so we had to cut our stay short because we didn’t feel like this hotel is worth what they are charging. When I wanted to speak with manager - he’s not there , mane Jay. I think he’s the ghost because we have not seen him in two days and front desk Shay didn’t care much about accommodating customers and responded very arrogant like yeah whatever … when asked for the receipt she said we don’t issue receipts because you booked through third party- first time I hear that part despite the fact that I always book through travel agencies and I always get receipts. Anyways , the whole experience is NEGATIVE plus !! I strongly advice NOT TO STAY THERE. You will be disappointed, unless you like outdated filthy environment and personnel who downs care about their guests. There are much nicer places to stay around so please avoid it and take your BUSINESS somewhere else.

Not good The pictures are not accurate. There was holes in the bed spread, hairs on the bathroom floor, nasty tub, low water pressure, no hot water, bed was an old out dates spring mattress and not comfortable, musty smells in the room, and broken entry doors. We love staying at the Country Inn and suites by Radisson hotels but this is definitely not up to there standards.

Don’t bother! Definitely not your typical Radisson Hotel out of date. Nice outside and lobby area. That’s it! Carpets not cleaned in “years”, toilet did not flush, chair missing in room, refrigerator froze our drinks, even again after setting it at lowest level, big mistake! Lots of other places to stay in St. Aug.

Dump This is a dump. Checked in at 8:30pm , front desk receptionist asked for my credit card and drivers license. I don’t understand why they needed documents especially my drivers license. Never had to do this at a prior hotel. Went to room , upon opening the door there was an overwhelming air freshener smell. The bath faucet water stream was poor at best. Makes you wonder how housekeeping was able to clean the sink. Shower was pitted and rust marks around drain and handle. Bedding was torn. Went to front desk and changed room. If it was not for the fact that it was late and we were checking out at 6am we would have changed hotels.
