Terrible place do not recommend this hotel The pool has weeds growing in it, broken concrete and no water. Pictures do not represent the neglected property and dirty interior. My socks turn black walking on room carpet. Friends say the BW st Charles pool has been neglected for years. Breakfast is same rubbery eggs every morning.

This place will be your next mistake This place is a $h!t hole. Hallways smell like a lived in apartment. The pool has been closed for at least a year with all the weed growth. Our shower head was shooting everywhere and when reported to the night staff, they said they had reported it to management two months prior. The rooms are dirty. The staff was rude when my wife asked them to unlock the "24 hour" gym at 6am in the morning. Having left with our hotel room door shut, when we returned from going out to breakfast our door was wide open and no staff was in sight anywhere within the building. Who knows how long anyone could have came into our room to rummage through our stuff. I would highly recommend any property but this one regardless of price. This one isn't worth whatever price they charge relative to any "lower grade" hotel. Avoid this place for your own good!

A 2.5 star drive-up motel. This motel showed 4 stars but it's 2.5 stars at the most. It was... fair. The rooms were clean... enough. The flimsy bath towels might as well have been 40-grit sandpaper. The pool wasn't open, Sunday breakfast ended way too early at 9:00 am, the desk clerk felt a little bit creepy, and the outdoor hallways had orange gunk throughout (see the photos). It's just a cheap 2.5-star motel.

Formal Complaint and Request for Refund I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your Best Western located in St. Charles, IL on June 22nd, and the subsequent handling of my refund request. My experience at your establishment was far below the standard I would expect from a reputable hotel chain like Best Western. Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the room was in desperate need of renovation. The walls showed signs of peeling paint and poorly done patchwork, which was disappointing but manageable for a single night's stay. However, the situation deteriorated quickly. During a walk around the property, I encountered uncollected trash and was dismayed to find the pool filled with green, stagnant water containing floating debris. Later in the evening, the situation escalated further when I discovered the occupant in the adjacent room engaged in disruptive behavior, drinking in the corridor and leaving multiple beer bottles scattered about. Despite reporting this to the front desk, the disturbance persisted until management intervened. Regrettably, my girlfriend felt unsafe due to the behavior of the neighboring guest, prompting us to leave the hotel prematurely. We immediately requested a refund upon departure and were assured by the night manager that the matter would be resolved promptly. However, it took numerous follow-up calls and over nine days to receive any acknowledgement, and I have yet to see the refund reflected in my credit card statement. I spoke with the assistant manager today, July 1st, who confirmed that the refund request had been processed but failed to provide any documentation or confirmation of the transaction. As of 8 PM, I still have not received the promised email receipt. This entire experience has been deeply disappointing and has left me questioning Best Western's commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence. As a result, I have decided never to patronize Best Western hotels in the future. I insisted on immediate action to process my refund without further delay and expect confirmation of its completion. I have yet to get my refund.
