The pinnacle of paradise! The pinnacle of paradise. We vacationed here for our honeymoon and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Quiet, intimate, luxurious, romantic, picturesque - honestly, there aren’t enough superlatives in the dictionary. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Antigua! We loved snorkeling off of the semi-private beach and checking out the pillars of Hercules.

R and R at its best. We arrived at The Inn feeling very fatigued after a particularly physically exhausting ( and exciting ) time in New York. We had anticipated our tiredness, and hoped that a holiday atThe Inn at English Harbour would be the perfect place to unwind, relax and recover our energy. And it was!!! Like so many previous reviews, we can only endorse and agree with the positive comments regarding the warmth and helpfulness of every single staff member. The ethos of the hotel seems to be offering five star luxury and comfort with a beautifully laid back informality, and it works so well. We returned home with renewed energy and very happy memories of a superb holiday. Thank you to everyone we encountered who contributed to making our week so very special.

Charming What a charming hotel (or Inn) if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay in Antigua. From the moment we arrived, until the second we left, we were surrounded by genuine and generous Antiguan hospitality. We didn’t meet anyone who wasn’t happy to have a chat….cricket, football, rose wine, best bars, birdies and eagles…..and being a Mum on Mothers Day ❤️ The bay is stunning although the sand is shingly in places so entering the sea can be tricky, pack suitable footwear, but once safely in the sea is warm and calm. For those who like some activity, we loved the hiking trails up to Shirley Heights (we usually went around 6.30am ! before it became too hot, about 30- 40 mins up through the woods and 20-30 mins down by road). My husband took a kayak out most days, around the bay to Nelson’s Dockyard, mainly I think to admire the multi million pound yachts and to search for turtles (successfully on several occasions) Oh for the record, if you need a state of the art gym on your holiday, The Inn is definitely not the place for you, nor is it, if you like loud and late evening entertainment. The vibe here is definitely a quiet evening meal, some gentle background music coupled with a fabulous view and an early night. The clientele is mainly British and retired but not exclusively. Come here if you want or need to slow down. Pre-arrival communication was excellent and on arrival we were provided with a friendly, short orientation and then given a choice of rooms, such a nice gesture and it was so very difficult to choose between them. Anyway, we did and it was discretely serviced to an extremely high standard twice a day. Our only niggle would be the poor water pressure, but hey we managed (just) We enjoyed all our meals, particularly the wider choice at lunchtime. All the ice cream is homemade and ridiculously good. The coconut shrimp is outstanding. Service in both restaurants was professional, knowledgeable whilst being fun and friendly. Now if there was only one mosquito in the whole of Antigua it would seek me out. We didn’t see/ hear many but I was grateful for the air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito net around the bed at night. One of the English breakfast teabags, dropped in some hot water, and then popped on the nasty bites I did get worked a treat to reduce swelling (for the record I’m no medical practitioner)! We stayed for 5 nights, just about perfect for us. We arrived a bit frazzled and tired and have left much happier humans. Thank you to everyone we interacted with, you were lovely, and also those we didn’t as behind the scenes we know many more will have contributed to our stay.

Beautiful retreat on Antigua After a long cold winter on Cape Cod, we were very ready for some sunshine and relaxation in the Caribbean. The Inn at English Harbour is expensive but also provides delicious breakfast and dinner each day of the stay. The dining room and public rooms are on a height above the beach-level rooms, so the hotel provides a shuttle service to take guests to and from their rooms to the top of the hill. Dinner on the veranda offers spectacular views to the west as the sun sets over the ocean, and the mountains of the island of Monserrat are visible on the horizon. Luxury yachts anchor in the harbor below, and historic Nelson's Dockyard is only a few minutes away by hotel-provided launch from the beach. Good breakfast buffet on the beach every morning with super-pleasant staff. Totally worth the expense -- we'd go again in a heartbeat.
