Quality Inn Stephens City - Winchester South

Great stay The updated room was very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was one of the best I have seen recently. The beds were very comfortable and lots of pillows. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Return guest Clean facilities with recently updated room. Convenient location with easy on/off the highway. Check in and check out were both easy, fast and efficient. Free breakfast was good with several hot and cold options. Bed and pillows were comfy, and wifi was fast. This was our second stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Coffee shop and fast food take outs were within easy walking distance.

Problematic enough not to return. This was our fourth annual visit, and we were sorely disappointed this time. The main issues were safety and staff's attitude toward safety and customer service. Our room door was ajar when we checked in. Our keys didn't work the next morning, and when we told the front desk attendant about the open door and pointed out that it was a safety issue, she said only that housekeeping was still finishing up in the room. We had checked in at 9:30pm. She made no attempt at acknowledging our concerns and no attempt at any kind of personal interaction about anything. The room was not very clean; there were stains on the bedding and the drapes, and the bathroom had been cleaned only perfunctorily--it hadn't been scrubbed in some time. We'd have reported that when we checked out, but the desk clerk didn't ask how things were; he was almost as distant as the woman the day before. It took several tries to get his attention when we came to the desk because he was glued to his phone, although we were in his direct view through the office door. Breakfast was even more disappointing; no one monitoring when things ran out, equipment not working right, very limited selections, etc., even though we got there early. This is down to the level of nitpicking, but when a stay begins with a bit of a security scare and no one on staff cares, you start looking for things to criticize. Our first three stays here were okay. We don't know what happened in the last year, but it's not good. There are other lodging options nearby. That's where you'll find us next year.

Good place for an overnight Nice place for an overnight stay. Person at check-in desk was helpful and suggested a good place for dinner that was not fastfood. Room was large and so was the bathroom. Furnishings were a little tired but adequate. I had 2 issues. The pillows were very lumpy and should be replaced. The doors are very noisy when they close. They always seem to slam shut. That was annoying late at night. The breakfast was fine. I would stay there again.

Clean Room in a Perfect location The hotel is what you would expect from a Quality Inn, clean room-standard breakfast-convenient location. The girl that checked us in (I do not know her name because she said about 6 words to us) could have cared less if we were there or not. The morning crew was much more friendly. The breakfast girl is outstanding, friendly & helpful. I would stay again - not a vacation spot, but perfect while traveling. I have stayed at the hotel next door & find the Quality Inn a better value. There is a very good Italian/Greek restaurant around the corner (could walk - 15 minutes) the drive is SUPER EASY-a side street. There are gas stations/stores at the exit also
