Bad water, soggy to soft mattress. Worst water in any hotel, soggy soft pillow top mattress. The windows cannot be covered at night to keep out the yard lights. There is no bottled water in the room, there is almost no floor space to use for stretches or yoga. No coffee in the lobby in the morning b

Complete Disappointment When booking motel room for my family, the staff had no problem taking the time to up-sell us a more expensive room. However they did not take the time to let us know that their pool was not available, even when we specifically asked if the pool was operational……… the pool was the only reason we chose holiday in over the other motels in the area. My whole family got ready to go swimming, walk through the motel in our swim suits to the pool to find a note on the door stating that the pool was closed. The note even Indicated the wrong dates, that were already past? The whole family was so disappointed! We paid extra to stay at this motel, and then even more for the “special room” FOR THE POOL!!!! In addition to the complete let down of not being able to utilize the pool, but our room smelled terrible, like body odor mixed with old rotten fast food!!! We actually had to leave and go purchase an air freshener! My family travel a lot, and we will NEVER stay here again!!!

Mehh, A little disappointing. Recently booked a stay at this hotel for NYE 2022 with family. Hotel room was clean and decent sized. The pool however was a huge disappointment. There are two pools; one for littles that is maybe a foot deep with a slide, and another with a basketball hoop in the middle that is 3' deep max. Not relaxing for an adult who has to either sit on the floor of the pool to be completely submerged or stand waist height. The other HUGE disappointment was that their hot tub has been filled in with cement and is now non-existent. Not to mention the waterslide that is not being ran anymore. There was a sign on the front desk that stated the pool will be closed for a certain number of days, so I'm hoping they remove the slide and put in a full-size pool. Also, when did Holiday Inn's charge extra for breakfast? Did I miss something?

Positives and Negatives I just stayed at this hotel for 6 nights with my 2 kids while we were attending the American Suzuki Institute at UWSP. I chose this hotel because they offer rooms with a set of bunk beds in a little alcove and a king sized bed in the same room. This part worked out great for us. The alcove didn’t have a door, but the room was laid out in such a way that the kids were able to go to bed before me and I didn’t have to sit in the dark until I was ready to go to sleep. If you are planning to stay at this hotel with hopes of using the water slide, it seems as though it is permanently closed. The pool is still open, but the sign with “Water Slide Hours” has a board nailed over it which suggests there are no plans to re-open it. This was not an issue for us as we were too busy at the University, but I can imagine that it would be disappointing for some families. The photos of the water slide, which looks like a pretty fun water slide, should probably be removed from the hotel’s website. The main negative is the housekeeping situation, Housekeeping does not come to your room unless you request it the night before. This was not mentioned to me at check-in and I didn’t find out until the 3rd day of our stay when I asked why our trash hadn’t been emptied or our towels refreshed. I was told I could empty my own trash in a bin down the hall, which was close to full every time I did that, When housekeeping did finally come, they didn’t leave more toilet paper or Kleenex, both of which were almost gone. I had to call to make a special request for that. There were also goldfish crackers which had been stomped into the carpet in the hallway outside our room when we got there and they remained there for several days. I’m not sure if all of this is due to a staffing shortage, but it seems as though it should at least be mentioned at check-in.

Ok - but Early Fees killed Discounted Price Room clean & comfortable. Desk staff helpful. Hallways were noisy with what sounded like pre-teen & elementary aged kids. This was a tightly budgeted trip for a wedding. Wedding was @ 3 pm; as was check-in. We had to drive in that afternoon from the Green Bay Area. Hoping to possibly get there at 2 PM, and freshen up before having to run to the wedding (another 20 minutes away), we called the night before to inquire about the possibility of checking in just a tad early. We were asked to call back at 8 AM. We did, and then found out that any early check-in was charged $25 plus taxes and fees (and price just over $28). We easily find ourselves in hotels an average of several times a year. And all of our travels we have NEVER been charged a fee to check in early the few times it has happened. The only restrictions we have ever been asked to uphold would be if we were coming very early & rooms were not available by then. Absolutely never have been charged for 1-hour. We chose this hotel because they were $10 cheaper than one of their competitors that we have also used on occasions here. I called called their front desk and inquired if they charged any fee for a one hour early check in: they did not.
