La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stillwater-University Area

Excellent stay. We will continue to stay here when we are in the area. Very clean. Good location. Air conditioning worked great.

So Glad I chose this hotel This hotel "the la Quinta" is a hidden gem in Stillwater Oklahoma! From the moment you arrive until you leave. I don't know what to boast about first. Upon arriving you walk into a very clean, updated, and just overall aesthetically eye appealing lobby that is stocked with fresh fruit, ( apples, bananas oranges, granola bars, freshwater, cucumber, water, cold, sweet tea, hot tea of all flavors, hot coffees with the option to add flavored cream. A yummy assortment of mints and a variety of suckers to choose from. The front desk staff is so friendly, no matter who you encounter. Then when you get to the room, the rooms are also so nice and clean and updated. Every person that I encountered always smiled, was engaging and never showed any signs of being annoyed or upset. Housekeeping was always around and never hesitated to help me When I needed anything. I've stayed at my share of hotels and I'll tell you one thing this place really exceeded my expectations. I wish I had wrote down everybody's name to give them a shout out personally, but just everybody stands out. Breakfast area was super clean,plenty of seating and was always ready and fully stocked (during breakfast hours) with a nice assortment to choose from, such as- little boxes of chocolate milk, Individual morning juices, so you could take them back to your room if you'd like or the 3 different muffins (individually wrapped Otis spunkmeyer) bagels, cream, cheese, toast, waffle maker, four different kinds of cereal, and then eggs, a different kind of breakfast meat every day along with biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was never lumpy or cold. They also have a playroom for children, which I think probably helps during check-in. They also have a gym, a conference room a storm room which I'm not used to because I am from Vegas, but made me feel a little safer knowing they might have some bad weather which we did not encounter. They also have a snack room where you can purchase other items so you don't have to drive to the store and the prices are actually reasonable. They don't gouge you like other places. The area in and around it is nice and safe, there is a convenience store And Walmart right down the street so that was nice. I'm probably forgetting some other things, but these are the things that stood out. Everyone who works here is nice helpful and it shows that they love their jobs. Thanks everyone at la Quinta my family and I had an enjoyable stay.

College trip Went to Stillwater for my daughter's orientation to Oklahoma University. The hotel was a little further out than others, but still close in proximity to the college.

OLD AND DIRTY Depressing upon arrival, needs to have some serious cleaning done. Exterior needs to be washed down, painted and landscaped with color. Everything inside needs to be updated and/or replaced with new, i.e., paint, carpet, etc. Flip side: Sheets were crisp and clean, mattresses were very comfortable. Staff were GREAT and were quick to attend to our needs. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices. Location is easy to get in and out of.

Above and beyond Love this place. I come here every year for Memorial Day and stay 5 days. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Home away from home.
