Stowe Motel & Snowdrift

Classic Stowe motel that doesn't break the bank. Simple clean place that is close to all the town of Stowe restaurants and activities. Bus stop for the mountain right at the entrance to the motel. Went there as a kid many years ago and have gone there the past two seasons. Rooms could use a little updating but for the price it was fine.

Great place to stay! Everyone was very friendly and gave great recommendations of places to eat in the area. The DVD library they has was also nice to browse and borrow from. The location was great and I'd definitely stay here again!

Comfortable classical motel My son and I went here over Christmas for skiing. Even though the weather did not quite play ball, the motel was great. For instance, our room came with a fridge but no microwave which we mentioned at check-in, and the front desk person (owner?) said she would see what she could do about it. Sure enough, when we came back from skiing, we found a microwave in our room. Great service! Our room (222) was not huge (bur perfectly adequate for two persons) and it might be called 'dated' by some. It is true that the wallpaper may not fit the latest interior design fads and the tiles in the bathroom are different from what you buy at Home Depot today. But everything was sparkling clean and worked very well. Another amenity we appreciated was the coffee and tea (Keurig) in the lobby (in addition to a small coffee maker in the room). A nice touch was that, given it was Christmas time, the coffee was complemented with cookies. Another perk: the ski shuttle stops (in both directions) pretty much in front of the building. This saved us the hassle of parking in the ski area, and $30.- each day. Overall, we would not hesitate a minute to go back!

Value room was just ok. Price was good. Bed was nice. Location is great. We booked a “ value room” which was not fancy at all. It was clean and functional. Great location. Price was very reasonable for Stowe in peak leafing season. Recommend especially if you want to pay more for a nicer room.
