Good Location, Meh Everything Else The location of this place was great. It was super close and convenient to town and the local shops and breweries. When we arrived, we were told we would get towels soon, but they were backed up on laundry because they had more guests than expected the night before. An hour later, we went down to check and see if they were ready, but they said they weren’t. We never got the towels. From reading other reviews, it seems like this is a common occurrence here. The last place we stayed before this didn’t have hot water so we were really excited for those showers that we couldn’t end up taking. Place is fairly outdated, but not horrible especially if a vintage inn is what you’re looking for. Our TV didn’t work at all, and the WiFi stopped working half way through our stay. The floor was dirty, beds were alright. The outside is cute and their outdoor patio is nice. We paid over $300 for one night (1 queen beds, 2 twins). No continental breakfast, but coffee and juice is included as a hidden fee. Not really worth the money, but honestly there aren’t a lot of great options in the area from what we could tell. I would stay here only if you aren’t picky. We were disappointed with the lack of lodging options in the area especially considering how expensive everything was.

Mismatched mess We made a reservation on Expedia. We were very happy with the price for what looked like a very charming inn in Stowe. The lady at the desk seemed very overwhelmed. She was arguing with someone on the phone about charging $5 for a morning beverage fee. (We apparently were also charged it but never saw any morning beverages.) She said that she didn’t know if there were clean towels or not because the washer broke and she was the only one there. We had to go up creaky stairs and walk through mud to get to our room in the back of the carriage house. The beds were mismatched, there were crooked, mismatched thrift store pictures on the wall, and there was a random toaster and garbage can on the table. This place could be charming again with better management.

At least they allow dogs Where to begin - this is well located and the main building looks charming; the grounds are nice. Our room however was in an addition that had rotting beams outside and many missing steps to the front porches. The room was large, it had a hole in the wall, one mirror and 2 towels, no bath mat. The pillows were off of the pillows and I had to ask for another case. The desk drawer had an old apple core and candy wrappers. There was no tv remote so I asked for one. After receiving one, I overheard the people working at the front desk say none of the remotes worked. There was supposed to be a 'breakfast bag' in the morning which I was told would be put out the night before at 11:00 pm, but the person forgot to purchase them. Some of this might be explained by gearing up after Covid-19 hit the industry, but the attitude by the staff was "oh well, too bad.' Not even a 'how was your stay?' as I checked out. This is the hospitality industry. It feels as though no one is minding the store/hotel.

Mold May walk Yes the location is central and do far staff has been good but they just have mold in both rooms I was given, painted over and caulked over. Definitely didn't work. They have you sign a waiver if any injury happens but I got it in my sinuses every time entering the bathroom. I'm five but staff went in without proper protection and bleached which just makes spores angrier. Also the fan in the first room may have been broken thus speedier reproduction from water-damage in the Carriage house. This is serious! I told the kid that the wall needs to be cut open by an expert. Other buildings though.
