Nice place to lay your head The hotel is kind of tucked away at the end of a street but we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very clean. Staff was nice and pleasant and it's within walking distance to Main Street, which was nice. The breakfast in the morning was also very good, which is also a plus.

Pool is shared with swim lessons Nice hotel , close to.main street. However, during open pool hours, the hotel pool was used for swim lessons. Familes not staying in the hotel brought their children for 30 minute lessons. This continued from 4pm to well past 6pm. While guests could still swim it was super weird and we were not notified that this happens. My own children were trying to swim but had to stay in the deeper end while the 2 instructors and 4 kids used noodles and floats etc. The parents also sat in the poolarea and watched. I'm sure they are making some extra money off this but it was NOT great for paying guests who wanted to swim. Otherwise nice and clean and breakfast was good.

An excellent night’s sleep, but it could definitely be cleaner A short, one-night stay on our ride from DE to CT. PROS: - Hilton Honors recognition at check-in - large, bright room with a recently remodeled bathroom - free breakfasts are always a bonus! - location location location: a quick walk to loads of restaurants to suit every palate and everything else you could possibly need within walking distance - I was most impressed with the temperature control in the room, which was clearly new and worked very well CONS: - semi surly staff at reception at both check-in and check-out who didn’t move an inch and didn’t seem to care at all for our presence - room cleanliness left A LOT to be desired (from small blood and other unsightly stains in plain view on the bedding to sticky floors and very dusty furniture and countertops) - we could hear the guests in the room above us walking around - breakfast was your typical bland fare … I was excited to see fruit but it was all “old” (well beyond edible) and beware the baked goods … they might be fresh but the lady working the floor touched everything — every single slice of bread — with her bare hands (gross!)

Not up to Hamptons usual standards I'm a longtime Hampton fan. I've likely stayed at more than 200 of their locations and have always thought what you get for the $ is pretty reasonable. I like that you can count on a clean room with furnishings (most importantly mattresses) in good condition and a reasonably good hot breakfast. But this location did not seem to be up to their usual standards. Overall the room itself was fine, but the bathroom floor was noticeably dirty. Far worse, the hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, and potatoes) was nothing short of really bad. Instead of the scrambled eggs I usually see at other Hampton locations, they served what appeared to be "heat and eat" omelets which were fair at best. The bacon was just laughable. When you tried to pick a piece up it disintegrated into dust. Not sure what the issue was, maybe just wildly overcooked? The potatoes were definitely overcooked, just total mush. At least the chocolate banana bread was very good (nice and moist) and of course the yogurt was fine. There's another Hampton on the other end of town that's $20 more per night. Maybe I'll try that one the next time.
