Great customer service! Older hotels aren't everyone's cup of tea. Like most older hotels it could use a few upgrades, but it was extremely clean, dining and theme park were very convenient, and I felt safe. The staff were wonderfully attentive and kind. I would definitely visit again!

Didn’t even stay the night I gave a 2 based on staff being friendly. Maybe it would have been okay, but we didn’t stay to find out. My 19 year old daughter and I had a fun day at Universal and this motel seemed fine to spend the night in when I booked it. However, just parking in their “parking lot” was an issue, more on that later, when I opened the door to our room, I was first hit by the smell of STRONG cleaning products, which at least they use, but goodness, it was not pleasant. Second, was how VERY tiny the room was. Third, it felt like a cave. There was a window but the curtain was pulled tight and tucked behind the frame of the bed. I looked out the small bathroom window at dirt and a wall. The room made me feel claustrophobic and uncomfortable. And it wasn’t cheap, $170. But I knew there was no way I’d be able to sleep there so I got on my phone and booked us into a proper hotel and chalked the $170 as an expensive lesson. Besides the room being TINY, the parking spots were even smaller. I take pride in my car and knew there was no way I wouldn’t end up with dings. So if you don’t care about the actual room or parking and just want to be close to Universal, then I’m sure it’s fine, but otherwise, pick somewhere else.

Beware. Sketchy staff and chemical smelling rooms Beware. Sketchy staff and stuffy chemical-smelling room. One week before staying there, I called the office to confirm whether my car will fit the lot, if it's ok to bring 5 people instead of 4 (max room capacity was 4), and if I can park my car in their lot past check out time since they advertise their location as "save $30 Universal entrance fee." Over the phone, everything sounded like it would work out just fine. I had a full size SUV but managed to fit it in. The parking lot is very tight so it definitely required another person to help guide. When checking in and I told them there were 5 of us (one of us being an almost 1 year old who will be sharing our bed), they told us we had to pay an extra fee for her even though we were told she wouldn't be charged. They then said they would "waive the fee of one person" and claimed that I only included 3 people on my reservation. I have a written email confirming I wrote 4 people down since that was the max I can put down on their website. Regardless of proof, they charged me again for a small space that they claimed could only accommodate 3 people. Charging for 5 people for a small space that maxed at 3 (because it may be a "safety hazard") sounds illegal to me. As soon as you enter the room, you're hit with stuffy and chemical filled air. There is no ventilation. Even after turning on the AC, I kept waking up and coughing throughout the night from being suffocated. When I called to ask about parking the week prior, I was told I can leave my car in their parking lot until 3pm after checking out. When arriving, they changed their words again and said we had to remove our car by 11am or the car will get towed. Once again, they manipulate you and change their words consistently to get you to sign on but charge you extra fees for things that were promised to be included in the hotel price. I don't mind paying extra fees when needed but the sketchy promises and sneaky lies are unprofessional and not trustworthy. I will never stay here again.

Clean, Quiet, Comfortable and Affordable near Universal Studios The place was clean, comfortable, quiet, provided breakfast, extra towels, and Said made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Said was able to let us know about places to eat nearby. I would start there again when I go to Universal Studios.
