WONDERFUL STAY excellent customer service,drove 8hrs from Baltimore and arrived in Sumter at 11:30 am ,We got in early and without hesitation the young lady at the counter on 7-18-22 and unfortunately I don't remember her name ( IIatas) if I'm not mistaken ,nevertheless she booked us right into our rooms 116 and 117 . Later when our final parties arrived they too and all the other guest were given the same service. I told everyone next year we need to get a group rates since we had five rooms and others were scattered about down broad street.

Quite the dump This place is terrible....the hallway carpeting is disgustingly dirty/stained...the room I was in had a safe, which didn't work....the bed linen was soiled...the ice machine on my floor was 'out of service' for a week (even though I told the front desk on day 1)...the swimming pool was 'closed for the maintenance' while I was there (tho, I'd never have used it based on what I'd seen). Unfortunately, I was there for 1 week due to circumstances, but would strongly urge you to consider sleeping in your car rather than check in here.

Room Was VERY diry The room and bathroom was dirty. When speaking with the front desk staff they were not helpful and said the rooms are guaranteed clean. When asked for a new room I was told they were full. When I asked for a refund I was told since I booked online I couldn't get a refund. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Not a good choice to stay - low maintenance and expensive for what it is Not a good place to stay. needs maintenance to fixtures, chairs, beds. thought it smelled like smoke in the room. housekeeping was fine but the rest was a big flop, was planning on 2 nights but checked out right away after the first night. I would not stay here.

Look for another hotel I have stayed in Comfort Suites before, in fact, just a couple months ago and it was a great hotel but this one in Sumter, SC, was dirty. First, our room was hot, air wasn't working well, it smelled like someone was trying to cover up a bad odor. They finally moved us to a room with working air but the air conditioners were filthy (attaching a photo). There was someone elses beer and food in our refrigerator, clearly they have a housekeeping issue. The tub barely drained. the whole place just didn't feel or look clean. Breakfast was sad, really. Wouldn't stay here again. When I told the front desk clerk about the refrigerator and tub, she said she would tell the General Manager but I'm thinking that probably didn't happen.
