Lovely hotel Lovely Hampton. Amazing polite & caring staff. Loved the dark colors - such a difference from how many locations have changed the ambience. Walking distance to amazing food. Delicious cookies in the evening. Coffee was good, and nice variety on their breakfast selections.

Less than impressive Not your average Hilton property. The room smelled like smoke. The TV needed to be worked on before it would work. We were told it could be due to high winds. It wasn’t west Texas windy. The pool out of service as was one of the 2 elevators. Doubt we’ll stay here again.

Hilton/Hampton won't cancel and refund I contacted Hilton Honors and the Hampton Inn directly in Sweetwater,Tx. I called Hampton directly. I called HIlton honors. I did an online chat. I emailed. All I wanted to do was cancel a reservation due to a family emergency. They would not cancel and refund our money. So sad. We are a loyal customer. We booked it 5 months in advance and now cannot make it. They stated it was the way I booked it. I made a mistake and did not mean to book it with AAA discount or whatever they said I did. I am old and made a mistake. It would have been so simple for Hilton Honors/Hampton to cancel and refund however they chose not to. Basically spitting in the face of a loyal customer. Something so simple and they refused to refund our money.

Bad, Bad, Bad Everything on their website is a lie. From roaches and bugs everywhere, peeling wallpaper, horrible breakfast bar, no microwave ovens anywhere (not even in the breakfast bar or in the office), lousy internet (intermittent at best, if you can get on at all). We literally spent one night and got out as soon as we could, went and got breakfast at McDonald's b/c the hotels food was not fit for human consumption. I will never go back to this hotel again. Sad, because we've stayed at other Hampton Inns that were good. Not this one! Oh, and there were only a few guests but they gave us the room right next door to the fitness center. I heard the treadmill, work-out equipment and weights all night long. Why would a hotel put their few guests right next to a noisy room?

Not happy I’m sorry to say this was the worst Hampton Inn I have stayed at. Housekeeping did not do a good job with vacuuming. The carpet in the hallway was dirty and I could not believe that the shower curtain rod was all rusted.
