Holiday Inn Express Sweetwater by IHG

Front Desk person We were very happy with our experience at the Holiday Inn in Sweetwater TX. Jennifer at the desk was especially helpful. We had a challenging EV problem and she was there for us! Thanks very much Jennifer. I would recommend this hotel and will visit again.

Average HIE at best The room was fine, clean and properly stocked. However, the hotel is a bit ragged around the edges and the landscaping pretty pitiful. Slept too late to experience breakfast so can’t comment in on that. If you want a place just to lay your head and sleep or watch TV, this Holiday Inn express is fine. But if you like the nicer properties with attention to detail, you might want to look elsewhere.

Roaches and zero work effort MULTIPLE large roaches everything in texas is bigger thats for sure!! Had to single handedly kill and clean myself!!!! They had good air conditioning, but Low staff and minimum effort. Pool is closed claiming its under construction. I do construction as well and i show up to work everyday when i'm working construction and I have yet to see anyone show up to work on the pool. You guys need some assistance give me a call 4173455432 OH yeah your tred mill doesnt work either i literally had to run circles around this place after work this place should be the cheapest place in town

Disappointing Experience The staff was courteous, but the pool was closed, the toilet in our room stopped flushing, and nobody was at the front counter for checkout. I think they’re probably under-staffed. A pretty under-whelming IHG property.

This place is awful We stay at a lot of IHG properties, and this is probably the worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever seen. The front desk clerk was very sweet, but the hotel is in pretty bad condition. The walls are scuffed, the beds are visibly sagging in the middle, and there was even a hole in the wall behind our door. Those things are ugly, but they were nothing compared to the state of our sleeper sofa. It looked ok upon arrival, but when we folded out the bed, I was simply stunned. The mattress was ripped and coming apart all the way down one side. The batting and springs were literally hanging out. The frame was coming apart, and there was nothing to hold up the mattress on the bottom corners. We took the mattress off the frame & put it on the floor because we were afraid it would completely fall through if our son slept on it. He ended up in bed with us because the springs poked through the mattress when he tried to lay on it. We thought that maybe our room was the exception, but when we checked our daughter’s room, which was right next door, it was just as bad. I couldn’t believe it! The guest laundry was nice, one washer, one dryer. The pool was pretty bad. It was so hot in the pool room that you couldn’t stand to be in there. The granite was coming off the wall in our shower & the tiles on the bathroom were broken or coming loose. My husband is Spire Elite with IHG. We have stayed at many, many IHG properties. This one is an embarrassment to the chain.
